The website said a full breakfast, but it was a continental breakfast - a granola bar, a small yogurt. Did not feel it was accurate advertising. I understand they were still renovating, but they needed to change the website to reflect what they offered.

Road tripping through the Southwest and needing a place to stay, we found this gem. Cute, newly renovated and super convenient (right off the main road) to spend a night. We checked in late so we were given a code to get into our unit, parked right outside of it and had a great night’s rest. Would recommend if you’re driving through Blanding!

Pleasantly surprised by the Blue Sage Inn

The Blue Sage Motel looks like a typical mid-century motor inn, but the rooms are much nicer than typical. It seems the motel did a renovation in 2020 and the bathrooms are modern and spacious. Plus, the rooms are well lit and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate and welcomed as no restaurants are open in Blanding Sunday mornings. Definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

The Blue Sage was similar to camping out. Our room had no heat, and temp when we arrived was 58 degrees. There was a ceramic heater that we plugged in and brought the room temp up to 64 within several hours. Letting the water run 3-4 minutes as instructed, brought lukewarm water, so no hot shower. In fact, I slept in heavy clothes with the hood over my head. When the sun came up the next morning, the rays came in through the ten-inch gap in the front curtains and woke us. Pack your sense of adventure and humor!

No response when the heat went out.

We arrived around 9 pm after traveling most of the day. It would have been a decent experience, but when we turned on the heat/air conditioning it made an awful loud noise. The temp outside was cold and going to be in the 40s overnight. I called the number given to us if we had any issues and left a message. No response back, I even texted the number. The next morning still no call back. I called and finally reached one of the owners. No apologies for the heat not working or getting back with me. I understand it’s a small business, but don’t offer if there are problems to call a number. Thankfully, we had extra blankets in the car for overnight.

A quiet, peaceful, and comfortable little hotel. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM. Parking is right nearby. The room had comfortable beds, a TV, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a microwave. The only issue was that there was too little shampoo and shower gel. Maybe they didn’t notice how many people would be staying — there were three of us, but the toiletries were only enough for one person.
