So much so good about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and upgraded us to a beautiful room in the historic wing with a mountain view(they have a modern wing too). The hotel is centrally located so lots of dining and shopping options. Very close to the Boulder Theater The only BIG negative is if you'd like to buy food or wine after 12ish, you are out of luck. For guests they should have an option to buy wine or beer. We came back from a concert at the Boulder Theater and wanted a drink and a snack. There were at least 6 people in the lobby all asking about getting a drink. They should have options for guests like a minibar, room service or a small shop

Like they’re doing you a favour

This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional from start to finish. The bell staff seemed helpful at first, but once they had carried the bags, they ignored us unless it was time to demand another tip. I was constantly reminded “we work for tips” — they expected $10 just for storing bags, then another $10 for taking them to the room. The restaurant staff weren’t any better — distracted, on their phones, and generally uninterested in serving guests. We ordered food to the room, and the front desk wouldn’t even let the delivery driver come up. Instead, we had to tip both the driver and the hotel staff just to get our order. On checkout, the same routine — we brought our own bags down, but staff jumped in just to carry them a few feet to the door and then held out their hands again. To top it off, we were made to wait while others checked in, as if we weren’t even there. I’ve spent plenty of time in the U.S. and understand tipping culture very well, but this was beyond reasonable. It felt like every single interaction came with an expectation of money, paired with rudeness if you didn’t immediately hand it over. Bizarre, uncomfortable, and disappointing — I won’t be back.

Hotel is lovely but they charge $30 a day for parking. The only other option is to find street parking in the nearby neighborhood which is very difficult especially at night. Also, my room faced the back lot where the dumpsters are and I was awakened at 6am with racket that went on forever when the trash trucks arrived.
