Luxurious Hotel

This is a very, very nice hotel with well-appointed rooms, great restaurants, and a staff that is eager to please. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and stocked with plenty of bottled drinking water, and great lighting. There are many conveniences in the hotel, like an ATM as well as a bank. It is a short 8 minute walk to Terminal 3 via a spacious foot-bridge.

One of the best in Cairo!

Le Meridian is a wonderful hotel and caters to international customers. The service is exceptional and one of the best in Cairo. All of the staff was very kind and personable, and they actively checked in with me to make sure my stay was going well and if there was anything they could do better (I really appreciated this). Any issues I had, the management dealt with fairly and professionally. The hotel offers every convenience, including a bank on-site to get cash or make change, and the porters help with getting taxis and with transporting you to the airport through the walkway. The hotel is connected to the airport, which was very convenient! The club lounge and the breakfast buffet are worth it -- the food here is excellent, and the selection and variety were very good. I felt taken care of and that the staff was truly invested in my having a good experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this hotel and would recommend it.

I checked in on the early hours and staff gave me a late checkout at 4 PM free of charge! Always the most convenient hotel (and only hotel) to stay at- the walkway or free shuttle bus is an added bonus. 10/10. Another tip is the Arabic Restaurant- absolutely AMAZING cuisine. Good airport hotel with great dining options. Unfortunately, hotel management have decided to also host Egyptian wedding receptions on the hotel site and weddings in Egypt typically begin around 7:00 pm and continue until the early hours with very loud music. No a great idea for individuals arriving late or leaving early for flights. Worth checking to establish if there are any such functions booked during your stay and if there are then request a room on the airport side and not overlooking the hotel gardens/pool where the receptions are held.

I reserved this property 9 months prior to my visit through Expedia and opted to pay at the property. In the interim, my credit card was compromised and I got a new card. The day before I was to arrive, I received an email stating that if I did not call within 24 hours with a new card number, my reservation would be cancelled. I called from Jordan and gave a new number. On arrival, reception did not ask for a credit card for incidentals, but I found later that I could not charge my dinner in the hotel restaurant to my room. In the morning, I went to the front desk to give them my credit card so that I could charge breakfast to the room, but they said since I was checking out later that day that I could not. This is how they treat a Bonvoy member…it was not a great amount but I did want the points that I would have received as a Bonvoy member.
