Kotimme sijaitsee kauniin Sierra-laakson sydämessä pienessä Calpine-kaupungissa. Lähellä Sierra Hot Springsia ja loputon Sierra-vuoren hauskaa. Birding, golf, veneily, pyöräily, hiihto, vaellus ja paljon muuta. Erittäin viihtyisä ja rauhallinen paikka suuressa Sierran laaksossa.

Pysy täällä täysin nuorentaa sielusi. Se on kaunis ja yksityinen, mutta lähellä kaikkea mitä haluatte. Loman voi olla täysin rentouttava ja lounging tai voit tehdä vierailustasi jännittävä ja jännittävä kuin haluat. Voit vaeltaa, kalastaa, kiivetä vuoristossa, pyöräillä, uida, kajakkia, golfia, veneitä, ruokailla ulkona tai saada manikyyri ja hieronta, kaikki muutaman kilometrin päässä tästä kodista. Talomme on rauhallinen ja mukava. Talo sijaitsee rauhallisella tiellä ja istuu takaisin valtatie 89: stä. Mukavuus on kaupunkia yksityisyyttä takatiet. Riittävästi pysäköinti pari autoa, perävaunua tai venettä.

On viisi 18-reikäistä golfkenttää, jotka sijaitsevat puolen tunnin ajomatkan päässä, sekä lukuisia erinomaisia ravintoloita. Läheisellä viehättävällä järvien altaan virkistysalueella on lukuisia turmeltumattomia järviä, ja Sierra Buttes, jossa on kuuluisa palo-näköalapaikka, tarjoaa kaikki vaellus-, pyöräily-, kalastus-, veneily- ja muut kesän ja talven aktiviteetit.

The cabin was clean, quaintly tucked away in the woods in a small friendly neighborhood. The cabin was super cute with a homey feel. The host was communicative and it was perfect to unplug and unwind. The nearest town was super cute and had tons of beautiful hiking trails close by. There's also golf courses not far down the road. Overall it was a beautiful experience.

This was like stepping back in time! My husband grew up coming here to a family cabin back in the 60's and 70's. The old part of town has not changed much with its quiet setting and old time charm. We loved not having cell service or TV it was so refreshing being able to just chill. We have Verizon and found if we stood in the road there was some reception. As well, the neighbors are super friendly and willing to assist if you need help. There is a nice secluded place to sit in the yard and enjoy the breeze in the tall pines and smell the fresh cool air. We did really enjoy our stay here. Bed was super comfy and nice arranged kitchen and bathroom.They don't have a real coffee maker only the pod type so if you are a true coffee drinker bring a pot with you. Same for the blender its a small handheld single one. But all in all we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was a very busy time for us this time, I was officiating our sons wedding in Sierraville which is just down the road so super close for us to get there and back. Thanks for the memories we really enjoyed your place.

Quiet and cozy

A nice quiet off-grid getaway (no cell or internet service, unexpected but refreshing). Hot springs and hike/bike trails were not far. We cooked in the home one evening, dined out the other evening.

Cozy and Comfy

Only issue was with Vrbo telling us the property wasn’t available when it was, hence the 4 stars. But Kim helped us work around that glitch. No TV was a surprise but made for an evening of conversation! Very cute and comfortable place. Would stay again. Thank you.

If you want/need quiet and want to disconnect...This is your place. No I-net and No T.V.... Bring your favorite DVD's and Books you've always wanted to read...Your cell service will be spotty if at all. Take in the night sky and watch those twinkling stars. What a brilliant show. Quaint

Stayed here for a few nights for a cross cut class. Good place to stay if you're trying to go somewhat off grid and still be somewhere comfortable. I believe laundry and wifi were advertised on the listing, but neither were available on the property. Property manager was helpful and responded quickly throughout the booking process and the stay.

Great place to stay

The house was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The entire process went smoothly with no problems. Just be aware that there is no wi-fi and that cell service is poor. I had to walk up the road to find one bar. This did not affect my stay, but it might be a problem for others.

A Cacher’s Dream! 🗺️

I can see why this place is so highly rated and feel so lucky to have had the chance to visit. On a whim I read a travel article that mentioned Sierra County being Northern CA best kept secret so I did a quick search of the area on the Geocaching app and there are hundreds of caches to be found!👏 My husband and I enjoyed checking out Donner Pass on our way up. We then explored the Graeagle area - picked up some doggy biscuits at Millie’s for our fur baby and then finished our trip at the Grizzly Grill for a phenomenal dinner. We stayed 3 nights but wish we would’ve booked a longer stay. Sean and Kim have gone above and beyond to make the home feel cozy. We appreciated all the amenities including the coffee bar; the almond amaretto pods were my favorite, my husband loved the S’mores. We plan to join the many who return frequently to visit. All Trails has several trails listed in the area that we didn’t get to explore this trip; we hope to check out Gold Lake next time : ) Thank you again, Kim and Sean, for such a lovely stay!

The home was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The walkway was very uneven and was challenging for my husband who had to use a walking stick to steady himself. Not handicap accessible. Despite listing TV there was no TV channels only able to watch DVD movies which were available

Worked out great!!

The place was great overall and worked super for our kayaking and Harley riding adventures. This is a very quiet neighborhood with no cable TV or Wi-Fi service. Phone service was not good but that was a nice break from the outside world. The library of DVDs worked out well however the remote for the DVD player did not work. Great place to relax and rejuvenate as described. I wish we would have been told the washing machine was non op so we could have packed more clothes though. Kitchen was set up great and we definitely used it. Nice to be able to prepare meals since it's a bit of a drive to any local restaurants. Bath was also set up well and plumbing worked well other that the jiggle the toilet lever required after every flush per the instructions printed on top of the toilet. The property was set up very well with all the info you would need, and the non-air conditioning was not a factor as the weather was perfect with cool downs at night. The property manager had everything very well laid out and that made things go smooth. Could have used a screen on the bedroom window though so both windows in the room could be opened at night. Parking was super convenient for truck and the motorcycle trailer we towed up. Front walkway is a bit rough and is a trip hazard for sure but myself and my teenage daughter didn't have any issues just had to pay attention where you were stepping. Would definitely stay here again. Overall, we had a fabulous vacation in the area. Thanks Kim!!

Calpine is a quit small town (very small). The rental is well-decorated. Full kitchen. Peaceful. Nice landscaping. Only things missing for this Townie are A/C (not needed at that altitude) and internet.

The house fit our needs well. The kitchen was well stocked and we made meals there. It was also fun to watch movies from the DVD supply. There were two bothersome things; first, the front door used to have another layer of glass. That glass was broken and shards stuck out from the edges of the frame. I got a minor cut, but it could have been worse. Also, one night I mistakenly left a porch light on thinking it was one of the automatic path lights. I was awakened at 10:30 at night by a banging on the door by what I assume was a neighbor. I do not know if this was a neighbor acting on her own, or under instructions from the owner; but it was very disturbing and it took me at least two hours to get back to sleep.

No AC during a heat wave so we cancelled

We didn't end up staying at this property because there was a heat wave with temps in the mountains over 100 degrees. The listing doesn't have AC, and we didn't want to deal with being hot and miserable during our vacation. We cancelled the day before, which meant that we lost everything (the host even kept the dog deposit and cleaning fee!) But that's still better than cooking during a vacation. I tried not to rate this property at all, since we didn't stay there, but VRBO seems to require a rating!

Great Location and perfect size for us.

We enjoyed our stay in Calpine. The house was in a great location close to Graeagle, Blairsden, lakes and hiking trails. The house was clean, comfortable, and very peaceful. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
