Very Expensive - watch out for the extra charges

Even though I was staying at the hotel and had already paid for a spa treatment I still had to pay an extra £32 to use the sauna and hydro pool. This seemed expensive and unnecessary as most hotels would provide this as part of the hotel accommodation. Also, I had already paid for breakfast but when I asked for an omelette to be made I was charged a further £13 for it, where all other hotels I’ve stayed at would offer different choices with eggs for no extra charge. It’s already a premium hotel which charged a lot of money per night but they seem to be charging you for every little extra which would normally come complementary at most other hotels of the same rating.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Parkgate, it is a lovely hotel in a great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and offer everything you need, with a comfy bed!

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff

Hotel was clean. Room was lovely. Plenty of room. Everything catered for. Very quiet despite being on first floor overlooking main road and opposite two busy pubs. Would recommend !!
