If all you want is a bed, this is the cheapest option in town. Bathroom sink was clogged. Microwave was missing the plate that rotates. Very limited channels on TV. I'm not too picky, and all I really needed was a place to lay down. I took the $40 bucks I saved and went out for an evening meal.
We arrived at the property and there was a message to phone a number for the desk clerk to arrive. No one came so we could not check in. Had to go to another motel.Waited 40 minutes.
Try checking g in at 8pm. They sent us to a room with no number on it. Door wa hard to open and room smelled like smoke. When back ask for a non smocking room that we booked. Made us wait another 15 minutes so they could clean a room. Most of the doors were open with rooms that had not been clean. Don’t go there !
I arrived @ 3:15, check in was 3 o’clock. There was nobody @ the desk, so we push the button that said “ring for service” and waited 15 minutes, pushed the button again, nothing. Called the hotel and left a message to call me when I could check in. Walked the halls and heard “there’s someone waiting to check in.” Response was “Leave me alone, I’m taking a shower.”
Left and got something to eat and returned 1.5 hours later. Miss thing had taken her shower but not ready to work. I asked if I could check in and was told her Expedia account was just canceled so I would have to go down the street.
The hotel down the street smelled so much better and was way friendlier. Charges to my card will be disputed!
Room was uninhabitable; was told door sticks , but was being repaired, also needs shower curtain replaced and housekeeping would take care of this. We checked in and went to drop off bags- confusion in finding room 220, numbers were removed from door; door in disrepair and frame needing completely replaced. No towels, no soap- shower curtain ripped off rod. No curtain or curtain rod on the window in the room. Left to go to town event and returned around 10:30 pm, key would not open door, went to desk and no desk clerk available- supposed to be at desk until 11:30 pm. Many customers with other problems, kept ringing bell, no one showed up- made phone call left message that we were unable to get into the room. Never heard back from anyone!

I arrived, waited and waited. No one came to the desk. I called. The girl was just getting out of the shower. She finally sent her boyfriend to let me know, there was no room available. So I left.
Arrived after 7 pm and the room was not ready. It was apparently due to lack of staff and the hotel being slammed the night before. The hotel is dated and in serious need of an update/ remodel. The A/C unit worked poorly and it took over 5 hours to cool down the room. The staff, especially the manager, Lisa, were very friendly and apologetic for the room delay.

The reason I’m giving this a 2-stars is because of the service I received the day I arrived from Brynn. She was at the front desk and super helpful when our room had issues. She deserves a raise because of all she was doing with a smile on her face.
You would think that ownership and management would make sure this motel was prepared for an influx of people by checking rooms and making sure they had people working. It appears they were not prepared.
Upon arrival, check in was fine but once we got to our room there were issues. There was no TV, no trash can, only 2 bath towels, and our door wouldn’t shut without absolutely slamming it. The items that were missing were eventually brought to us after a few times of asking. The curtains have holes in the back of them and you can only open them by taking one of the pleat hooks off (see picture). There are only outlets on one side both of the bed so only 1 lamp nearby and no other place to plug in a phone to charge.
The bathroom had multiple stains on the ceiling tiles and tons of places you could tell had been patched.
On the first night, we discovered after slamming our door shut that we couldn’t even lock the deadbolt for the night. So we had to put a chair under the doorknob to provide a little bit of extra comfort/safety.
Another night we arrived back at our hotel and had issues getting our door open. I went to the front desk and no one was there to assist even after using a call bell.
Arrived and the front desk woman states that I have no reservation and that the previous owners have been overbooking the hotel for 6+ months. I was turned away with absolutely no help and no where to stay in such a small town. The woman appeared scared and untrained. Hotels.com called the property and no one was able to give them any information on the billing and if I would be charged or refunded. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
Went to check in, we were told the room we had reserved was not longer available and she was not too sure if they would have a room. Then she proceeded to let us know that there computer is not working, but there was not a computer at the check-in desk. The lobby was unkept and dirty.
We waited 30 minutes for staff to show up, only to be told there were no clean rooms. We looked around for assistance and saw the kitchen area full of dirty dishes. We cancelled along with another family with the same problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
No one ever came to check us in, despite multiple phone calls & ringing the bell at the front desk. The hotel we ended up at said that happens daily with Northgate Inn. Save yourself the frustration & stay at The Village Inn!

Check in states at 3pm. On email.
No where in the email says to check in at 7pm. They were cleaning in preparation for next week concert.
No information for wifi code. She wasn't at the desk when I hit the doorbell.
Wifi info should be in the room or.in the keychain..

Not a bad place for under $90. Tried to check in at 6 but the room was not ready not eco friendly. Good café for breakfast 1/2 south.
