The hotel was constructed in the early 20th century and has vibes from that time, which are fun. The lobby is huge but unfortunately has no bar there, even though there is jazz on weekends. I wasn't wild about dinner at their restaurant (not bad, but not very imaginative either, with a so-so wine list) but I enjoyed the breakfast very much. It is easy to pick up the free bus across the street and staff were very helpful when I needed advice. Key historic areas are walkable but it takes about 20 minutes to get to most areas of tourist interest.

Historic property close to shopping, eating, entertainment. It has great restaurant on site, I ordered room service. The food was delicious and it was delivered quickly! The rate was very affordable for the area and valet service was excellent.

Trip for a family wedding.

The hotel is beautiful but older. The rooms are fine but could use some updating. The hotel is centrally located in the city and perfect for walking. We enjoyed our stay. The restaurant is great and the brunch is wonderful.

The hotel was clean but needs a major renovation. The door to our bathroom didn’t even open all the way because the bed being too close to it. The bathroom was extremely small and not comfortable at all. Probably would choose another hotel next time.

Pros: Location. Convenient walk to shops, restaurants, city market. Starbucks in hotel is a plus. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms are cozy. Swamp Fox bar and restaurant was convenient and staff was very friendly. Cons: Bathroom is tiny. One small shelf below mirror to put your toiletries. Harbor view room is usually quieter than King st view but unfortunately there was construction while we were there. Lobby is beautiful but dated. Could use a refresh as it is cold and unappealing.
