Floors 4 and 5 were being remodeled. Construction started early, no later than 7:00 every day. Only one elevator was running. This meant guests, house keeping and construction workers were all competing/waiting for the same elevator. Construction workers were moving big carts full of debris through the elevator and lobby all through the day. The lobby floors constantly looked dirty even after a fresh mopping. There was a large section of water damage on the ceiling of the lobby. House keeping only servicedv rooms every other day. Breakfast was always cold. Probably the worst offense was the front desk clerk was working while she was ill. When she checked us in you could tell she was struggling and miserable. She complained to us that it had hit her very suddenly and she was feeling terrible. But I saw her every day pushing through. Sure enough on my second day there I got hit by a sudden virus and spent the next day in bed. Luckily I started feeling better the next day.

Elevator doors opened on 5th floor! ISURPRISE!!! t was a heavy construction Zone. With workers and debri all over the carpet. We turned rifht around and went back down stairs to complain.Managwr was to come to us when she came in at 3:00. She never came. No other rooms available. It was terrible to go through the construction zone to get to 2 rooms I paid nearly $500 for! I want a partial refund!!! You never mentioned the co structi I n going on, and it was in full mode on our 5th floor all around us! Yes the room was neglected too. Shower was dirty. To turn the water on was a bit hard. Disgusted. Sink drain in bathroom, would not stop up. Half roll of tissue was in room when we came in. No other roll ! The lamp light flickered like we were in a disco. And the phone in the room didn't work. I had to use my call to call for the lamp and tissue issue. This is not Hilton honorable Hampton Inn. I'd like a portion refunded for room 520 1/17/26

The furniture is old, although clean and usable. My main issue (as a 75-year-old) is that there was no grab bar positioned to help me get in and out of the shower. Staff members were all exceptional.

This hotel had great potential, but it is currently not well maintained or managed. My first room the tub had hair in it from the previous guest and my refrigerator was broken. There were unruly guests that took over the hotel and they did nothing about so other guests suffered. They moved me to another room that had multiple lights out so I was in the dark trying to get ready. These things could all be fixed with a little care in checking things before they check in a person. The only redeeming factor was their fantastic front desk staff who really did all they could to help and tried to make things right. They are the only reason I stayed and am not giving this one star.
