I was here with a friend whose daughter was receiving a special surgery at University of Chicago Hospital. It was an easy drive of about 5-7 minutes back and forth to the hospital so the Hyatt was definitely convenient. Parking here was $40 a night but again it was a very easy in and out when I needed my car. Lots of good restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, etc were within walking distance. We both felt safe walking around the neighborhood which was full of students from the University of Chicago.

Great Stay

It was a perfect location for our needs. Many great restaurants & shops nearby. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. The only negatives were no microwave in the room & no light near the full length mirror or makeup mirror in the bathroom.

Hyde Park comfort and convenience

Love the location of this Hyde Park property; a wide variety of restaurants and parks in the area, and ample opportunity for walks in the neighborhood to augment the gym. And the staff is excellent.

As a continuous customer I appreciate the familiarity in knowing my name. The staff always has a smile, helpful with issues, and shows genuine care. The floor I was in had an odd smell, but that did not overshadow my overall experience. Will continue to stay here for my travel visits.
