The hotel has a beautiful historic charm and an excellent location right across from Grant Park — perfect for sightseeing and walking to nearby attractions like the Art Institute and Michigan Avenue. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was comfortable and clean. It’s a great choice for anyone wanting a classic Chicago experience!

The in room hair dryer did not work. The front desk said that they would have one delivered to the room. An hour later we checked out without ever receiving one. My wife was not pleased that her hair was not dry. Also there was a mildew type smell in the hall that drifted into our room. The room next to our was undergoing repairs so it may have come from that room.

The Congress Plaza Hotel wasn't what I expected. It was giving haunted vibes. Ceilings were super high, bathroom door creeks, lights were super dimmed. Just an eerie vibe. Pro is that it is in the middle of everything you possibly like to do such as the Bean, museums, Chinatown etc. All are within walking distance or a 5-7 minute drive. One thing during our stay, we called the front desk if we could get another blanket due to how thin the blankets were and the room was super chilly. No one ever brought us the extra blankets. Otherwise everything else was fine, check in process was super easy and everyone was really nice.
