The ONLY issue is that the rooms are super small!! It was literally smaller than my bedroom at home. However, the location is amazing and very walkable and convenient if you wanna do fun touristy stuff.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its location. It’s right on the Magnificent Mile, directly across from the Harry Potter store and the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, surrounded by countless shopping and dining options. It’s very safe, walkable, and easily accessible by public transportation, making it a fantastic home base for exploring Chicago. The hotel itself is clean and generally well-maintained, though it is in a very old building, so the decor and room furnishings feel somewhat dated and worn. That said, everything was tidy during my stay. One early morning, I did spot a roach in the bathroom, which I reported to the front desk—they handled it professionally and offered to switch my room right away. The staff and front desk service were professional and courteous. I wouldn’t call the hospitality five-star, but it was more than adequate for a comfortable stay. There’s a café on the same level as the front desk that serves basic items like coffee and bagels. It’s a bit pricey, but convenient if you want to grab something quickly while planning your day. Overall, I’d say this hotel is a great choice if you prioritize location and accessibility. Just be aware that it’s an older property and not the most luxurious—but it gets the job done.

Meh hotel

Was "upgraded" from two queens to a king and a pull out sofa. Had to all four sheets for the pull out sofa twice. The new room was so cramped you had to shuffle sideways to get around. The bathroom was so small my knees and head hit the wall across from the toilet when I'd be in there (I'm 5'5" not a tall person) there v was zero counter space in bathroom. The staff was all very friendly however.

The hotel was mildewed and I personally watched the maintenance dry the stained wet ceiling and paint over it. I stayed on the 10th floor and the microwave was located on the 4th and the ice machine was on the 6th. There was one person that was excellent as staff that went over and beyond for guest. His name is Markus. This high end hotel was worse than a roadside motel. I couldn’t believe I was in downtown Chicago next to a Neiman Marcus.
