The rooms were lovely, clean, very roomy with a nice quiet porch to have coffee or meals on. There was a view of the water from our porch a little. The staff seemed nice, not as personable as one is used to when you don't live on the east coast but they tried. East coast people just seem to be cranky and the staff was typical of that. I don't think they meant anything by it. Overall a very nice stay

The location of the hotel was great and the pool overlooking the bay was fantastic. However, I ended up leaving my trip early due to the lack of cleanliness in my room. There were ants all over the bathroom that were seemingly coming from the cracks in the vanity’s sink. The bathroom also had a very strong unpleasant odor. There were also a lot of flies that made sleeping challenging. It was very humid and my feet were black after walking on the floors. There’s a lot of potential for this hotel but unfortunately

The rooms were very clean, beautiful view off the dock! The pool is open until 1am, separate “spa room” for adults with a hot tub. Your right in Main Street so there are shops and restaurants in walking distance but your a bit off from the super busy parts of the island so it’s a bit more quiet.

Every room has a private balcony overlooking the Chincoteague Channel. It’s wonderful to wake up in the morning to the cries of gulls and to watch the sun set at the end of the day. Rooms were comfortable, the pool temperature was just right - even in mid-summer - and staff was responsive and kind. The hotel is on the quiet edge of Chincoteague’s downtown. It’s fun to bike around this village and out to Assateague Island.

Awesome Stay

Our hotel stay was absolutely fantastic! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the entire property was clean and well-kept. We especially loved the pool area—it was relaxing and perfect for unwinding. The pier was another highlight; we spent a lot of time there enjoying the views and fishing. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Great place

We've been coming to Chincoteague for over 20 years and never have stayed at Waterside Inn before. We had a fabulous trip and loved everything about this hotel. Its a simple place but its clean, friendly and amazing views. Will definitely stay here again.

4th of July weekend

Walkable to grocery store, cute little shops, great coffeehouses. Quiet, lovely people, nice pool, hot tub! Great view. Close to beach (12 min drive-super easy). Would go over and over again! ThankbYou!

Location was nice. Property was "no smoking" however people were vaping at pool, and on balconies on both sides of us. Didn't receive bed making or fresh towels, had to ask on the 3rd day if they could help, and rec'd an attitude.

Great place for family!

Older hotel but very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Took two of my grandchildren, 1 and 7. They both enjoyed the pool which was very clean and right by the water. We were surprised that the pool was open until 1 am but allowed us do all the activities of town and the. Come back and relax in the pool. It was great!!! Breakfast was okay. No room to sit so we took it back to our room. Choices were limited. Probably would be better if they just did danishes, donuts that are easy to pick up and go. Rooms have a fabulous view!!! We have made many trips to the island and plan to return. Will definitely be booking here again when we return.

We had a wonderful time at the Waterside Inn. We enjoyed having our coffee on the balcony every morning and the veiw was great. We even saw a dolphin one morning. Everyone was very friendly and our room was very comfortable and clean. I highly recommend the Waterfront Inn.
