We arrived late but the staff was very friendly about it. Rooms and bathroom were clean. One bed had a lump in it, but others were comfortable. Staff also gave great recommendations on food to help us avoid places packed with tourist.

We loved the view from our room, which was at the back of the property. The staff was friendly and attentive and our stay was very peaceful. We’d definitely consider going back again the next time we’re in the area.

Very friendly service and comfortable beds! Room was clean and we loved walking down to the lake. Game room was small but a fun surprise. The shower head didn’t stay ‘up’ and pointed to the ground, but we were able to rig it so we could use it. Every time we flushed the toilet it made a terrible groaning/ creaking sound in the pipes. Besides these small issues that didn’t really affect us (the pipe noises may have been disruptive to our neighbors), we enjoyed our quick stay. Pleasantly surprised given the affordable price! 15 minutes to downtown Cooperstown.

Our first night we returned from the Opera at 10:30pm to find our room door ajar. We had clearly locked it before we left. The office was no longer manned so there was no one to report to. When we did report the incident, the next day, and that a pair of jeans had been taken from the room, the desk clerk very rudely rebuffed us. We will never stay there again. It is not safe. The room locks are very flimsy. Luckily, we didn't have any valuables with us.

The Bayside Inn was a welcome change from the Best Westerns we had stayed in at prior points in our vacation. It was clean, updated, and the office was super friendly and helpful.

Located on a steep hill with a steep, winding road leading down to a lake beach. Entering the driveway at night dangerous because not well lighted. If you are the last car to arrive at night, you feel like you will drive off a cliff if other carrs are spaced too far apart. Otherwise, property very well maintained and clean, everything worked well.

Unless you’re on the upper floor, very noisy from people walking above. Very poorly insulated for noise. It’s an older property so this would be expected. Book the 2nd floor if possible
