Room was clean and very comfortable. Shower was a 15 on a 1-10 scale. Wish the breakfast couldve had a meat option but was good none the less. Overall a really great option at a very reasonable rate. Plus around the corner and up the stairs...beat dining in town. Jake's at the Midnight Star. Not cheap, but excellent!!!

The check in staff was NOT friendly or welcoming. Actually made us feel like we were very unwelcomed. We have stayed here several times in the past. However, the way we felt, we will definitely look at other deadwood hoteks

We got to the hotel check in was good the front desk was nice. Went up to our room it was like a closet room which no problems we weren't going to be in the room but to shower and sleep. Got to room the lobby elevator and hall were warm open our door and are hit with a big gust of cold air (it was about 11° outside) started turning up the heater (to 86) and closing the window curtain dropped our stuff and went to park our car. When coming back in the front desk asked if everything was going good I said yeah so far other than I may be calling you in a few of our heater doesn't work its freezing in our room. She replies with "here take this space heater with you the heater isnt working right and the tech wont come because its a holiday weekend." Got to our room put the heater in on high the room was still freezing my husband said man why does the bathroom always have to be gross I brushed it off. We freshed up and left. Got back to the room around 12:30ish it was probably 60° in our room and 0° outside. I went into the bathroom to potty and chang went to sit down asked my husband did you poop he says no that was in there. There was poop in the toilet hair all over the bathroom I mean toilet sink floor bathtub half a roll of TP but they did leave 3 of each of the bathroom essentials. Needless to say the bathroom was foul to say the least. I took pictures and said just go to bed its cold. My husband at this time was getting the TV turned on but low and behold the TV wasnt hooked

Heater did not work in room. Black mold in bathtub. There was no snow shoveled or salt put down at entrance to hotel. Breakfast area juice machine and pancake maker did not work. Voiced our concerns to front desk and they flat out did not care.

Excellent location, right in the middle of Deadwood, was convenient and made it easy to pop in and change clothes and rest if needed. Friendly and helpful staff, and a clean, quiet room made our stay pleasant.
