Brief break between flights

We arranged our stay as a means of breaking up a trip to Australia. We arrived around 9.00am having flown overnight so we were pretty tired. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. They explained that there was no room available but that they would let us have one as soon as possible. In the meantime we had coffee and then used the sports centre showers and lay by the pool. By 11am we were told that they were going to upgrade us free of charge to a suite. We were shown to a really luxurious 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, and kitchen apartment. Really way beyond our expectations. We had a view from the balcony of the creek and over Dubai. It was stunning in the evening. Overall we were absolutely delighted with our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer! We plan to stay on our way back from Oz but I doubt we will get the same room unfortunately.
