We booked a king suite for one night. We arrived late and the suite had been recently and heavily smoked in. The front desk clerk was very apologetic and helpful. The hotel was full but she found a standard queen room for us. She was not authorized to reduce the rate due to the room downgrade but said she would make sure the manager knew how bad the room was. When Expedia followed up the next week about the rate reduction, the manager refused to offer a lower rate. In the end, we paid the king suite rate for a night in a standard queen room. This motel is fine as long as you go in with low customer service expectations.

Everything was clean as soon as you walked in the door you could just smell cleaning products. The bed was comfortable. The linens were clean. The pillows were comfortable. The only discrepancy we had with the hotel room was that over our desk. A light socket was removed from the walls, and the wires were hanging out, and the lamp was disconnected from the base and wires were also hanging out of that.Wouldn’t of been an issue if we weren’t staying with our two year-old. Otherwise, the breakfast was great. The shower was nice and hot and water pressure was good.

When we arrived at our hotel around 9:30/9:45 there were stains on the sheets, hair on the bed, and all over the floor of the bathroom. We asked if our sheets could be changed and was told that there were no cleaning staff on duty at the time. Instead, we had to attempt to change our sheets, our self, and we asked for a broom to sweep, but no broom was available. The young lady at the front desk said that someone will come up to sweep so We left out to allow them times to sweep but no came. When we returned to the room, we started to change the sheets out ourselves noticing no one ever came up to sweep or anything while doing so we discovered there was a bug on the back of the pillow and then in the corner my sister ended up killing two more bugs. We went down to the front desk to speak with the staff. She was very nice. She tried to find us a room. There were no rooms available at first and then all of a sudden there was one handicap room Available. We inspected the room. It was fine. We went ahead and changed into that room but we were still very skeptical and uneasy about our stay. We were so nervous that we didn’t even sleep under the covers or anything we laid on top most of us in our clothes. both staff members told us that they would notify the manager in which they did. I went to the front desk around 3:05pm the next day to speak with him and he was not there yet so we left and went to our event. When we returned, we spoke to the manager, who was not helpful.
