Hotel wasn’t as great as the pictures made it look to be. It was ok but nothing to brag about. Bed was comfortable but our room needed to be updated as far as carpet and bathroom. We like there was a restaurant and bar.

Magnuson Grand in Escanaba MI

This hotel badly needs an upgrade! Mattress was very old and saggy. Bathroom needs new fixtures and grout. Will not be staying here again.

Bed mattresses getting old. Bathroom amenities really skimpy. Free breakfast is really a Continental breakfast with nowhere to sit and eat. No USB ports anywhere! For the money they’re asking for in Escanaba, there are better and more affordable options.

The maytresses and pillows in our room (227) could use an update. Having a small recliber type chair to view t.v. from would be a nice touch, too. Otherwise the room was comfortable.

I didn’t know that there wasn’t an elevator. Although I am handicapped, I usually just get a regular room. I would have requested an accessible room, or at least one on the first floor, had I known. Also, most rooms, even if they aren’t handicapped accessible, have a grab bar or something to hold on to in the shower. This room did not. Again, I know I didn’t request a handicapped room, I just wish I had known about these things (mostly the no elevator) before hand. With all that being said, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and towels. We had no other issues with the room or the whole facility!
