I liked that they had a patio with a fire pit and plenty of seating. That was the best part of staying there. My room did not have any convenience items upon checking in and I had to ask the front desk for them. I was not informed that they did not clean rooms daily, so you have to request for more towels, or for the trash to be picked up or for fresh linens on the bed. Also I expected there to be a hot tub and there was not. The bed was comfortable so that was a plus; however, I won’t ever stay there again.

The motel wa reasonably priced and our room was clean with two big beds. My son really liked the arcade and pool as well. We would definitely stay here again.

I would definitely recommend the Expedition Lodge! This hotel was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There was a bit of a complication with check-in due to some miscommunication between the lodge and Hotels.com, but the staff at Expedition Lodge were very diligent about researching the issue and they resolved it quickly. The place looked a little older, but it was very clean and the beds were super comfortable! After we checked out, we realized we had left something behind. Unfortunately, by the time we realized it, a new guest had checked in the room and our missing item was not in lost-and-found. The staff found our item the next day, called us, and is mailing it to us! I travel a lot and have, unfortunately, forgotten items in other hotels and never received any communication about my missing items from any other hotel. So, the fact that they called us and are returning it to us is a big deal and shows their excellent customer service.

First the room we went to the toilet was clogged, and they couldn’t fix it. Had to change rooms. I was rolling over on the bed and it broke. The AC doesn’t cool the room very well. Just an awful experience.

I stayed here because of the price. I knew I was going be hiking all day and just needed a place to sleep. They had a great game room for the kids, laundry service and a free very basic breakfast which was all I needed. The fountain to fill up water bottles was also very helpful. Would stay here again.

The first room I was given was not clean (even though it was supposedly cleaned)! The employee gave me another room across he hall. He came with me to the room as I looked it over. I told him it was better, and it was. That said, the longer I was in there, it just didn't feel clean. I washed my hands and it felt like there was something on the bathroom counter. I wet a washcloth and wiped it, and the washcloth did not stay white. Again, this was a "clean" room. There were hairs in the shower, on the toilet, and sink ( and they didn't belong to me). The TV console didn't look like it had been wiped. The chair really needed vacuumed. While none of this was major, it was enough to not make me feel confident in the cleanliness. I ended up purchasing cleaning supplies and cleaned the room myself. I did not speak to management, but I did respond to Expedia's inquiry of the room and the message said it would be sent to property management (in which I did offer to provide proof if they wanted to reach out, but didn't hear from anyone). I did not receive housekeeping services while I was there. All of that said, I felt the bed was clean and it was bug free. The shower had great pressure. This is an older facility and it doesn't have lights in the rooms, except for lamps, and the room does get dark at night even with all the lamps on. Also, there are 1/2 flights of steps everywhere and places elevators can't get you to. So, pack lightly. LOL.
This was the first "clean" room they gave me.

This property was great. My husband and I played pool in the great games room. There was also an indoor swimming pool. It was such fun and we enjoyed meeting with other guests. A really enjoyable stay in Estes Park.

Breakfast was really good. The man running breakfast was great and friendly. He loves his Elk Stew and it did taste really good. Hotel itself was an older building with a good interior remodel. Exterior and parking lot looked old and needs upgrading. I didn't like the layout of the hotel. The 2 wings of the hotel are not on the same level as the center building. Our room was on the second floor of one of the wings and in order to go to breakfast, you had to go up a flight of stairs, then go up another half flight of stairs, and finally go down a bigger flight of stairs. It was just an odd layout and felt like you were walking through a maze.
