We loved the deck area upstairs to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the view. The rooms were spacious and clean and beds were amazing. The people at the front desk were wonderful as we had an issue with our reservation and they fixed it immediately. Very helpful on ideas for the area. Food options were little disappointing as we usually are bacon,eggs,potatoes type people but enjoyed anyway..... thank you for good experience at these accommodations.,.... Debbie and Roger Seiler...

The property was clean and well kept. The breakfast area and coffee bar were excellent. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.. The only drawback was when I tried to call the hotel one day before check in, multiple times the phone rang endlessly without being answered or even a voicemail message….

If you need a place to rest your head this will work. Nothing special. The breakfast was a disappointment. The young staff were very unprofessional in the way they talked to each other and used swear words.

Relaxing experience

The staff was always very kind and eager to assist. The views were beautiful, and the location is very convenient for local dining and shopping. My boyfriend insists we stay there when we travel again next year.

View is great but everything else not so much

Ok, the view was amazing. The place was extremely dirty. The breakfast was not really breakfast. They served hard boiled eggs with a lot of different topping. Elk chili, cereal, frozen waffles and French toast. There were 2 toasters that took forever to toast or didn’t work at all. There is a pay to play game room which was fine. Pool table was fine. There were a bunch of board games, which I was excited about. Unfortunately every game was missing pieces. So they could not be played. Overall, to sleep here was fine, but the amenities were terrible. The view from the patio was wonderful.

Very friendly staff, but that doesn't make for a good night's sleep. Beds are hard as rocks. I have never had a worse night's sleep in a hotel, but some of that is due to my back. I will have to get to the chiropractor asap when I get home. Room 103- has outstanding shower pressure, but the head is super low. I am 6'1" and had to contort myself to wash my hair. Head hit my chest at best. Hot water was a LONG wait. For an old property, the room was reasonably updated. However, overall the property is run down. Pool was OK for wife and son, Hot Tub was boarded up. I hold substantial weight in my hotel ratings on the Breakfast. This one sucks, plain and simple. Americans like eggs, sausage/ bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, omelets, etc. They have NONE of that. We spent an additional $130 for breakfast during our stay because theirs was pathetic. We have a picky son, and there wasn't a single thing he would eat. Overall, I'd give this place a 2 out of 10.

Wonderful Stay for Our Rocky Mountain Adventure!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Expedition Lodge for 5 nights. We were pleased with all the friendly staff, condition of room, and even the included Breakfast each morning was fantastic! So many unique options to eat and drink - and lots of room/ seating. The location is close and easy to get to downtown Estes Park area, but just perfectly on the outskirts to not feel crowded/ congested. It's also minutes to either the Fall River Entrance or the Beaver Meadows entrance to the park. We stayed in a 2 Queen bed room - for just two of us. It had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom was large and very clean. If we were to return to the Rocky Mountain Park/ Estes Park again in the future - I definitely plan to stay here again.

It is in a good location. Plenty of parking. The breakfast did not offer any egg selection. The room had a broken lock to the adjacent room and the remaining lock was weak. None of the rooms have a telephone. We had to change our first room as the bathtub was 1/4 filled with water and the refrigerator was not clean.

I use this Lodge for our Superintendent to oversees projects in the RMNP. He likes the fact it is easy access to projects...clean...staff is nice and you can't beat the view.
