Plus: Convenient and reasonably priced midway overnight stay on a two-day drive from Western Montana to Central California. Hotel is a stone’s throw from Interstate 15. Minus: Couldn’t have been more drab if they tried. Checking in was interminably slow. The room and hallways had a sad, tired, worn look. The photo of the deluxe room in their listing gives the impression of a nicer place, leading to serious disappointment when we reached our room. A few framed art prints in the room (such as hung in the lobby) would have helped to make the room more cheerful. If we’d stayed more than one night we’d have needed antidepressants. The area around the property was littered and if there was any attempt at landscaping it was well hidden.
Except for the mirror and TV, a solid length of blank wall.
Puncture belie the mattress.
Burn marks adorning the electrical socket.
Shabby worn out hallway carpeting.

The staff was very accommodating and adjusted my reservation, as I had inadvertently reserved for a pet-friendly room and I was not traveling with a pet this trip. The room was very clean if a bit dated and worn.
