Jos etsit ainutlaatuista ja maalaismaista mökkiä rentoutumiseen ja lataamiseen kauniissa vuoristoalueissa, olet löytänyt sen! Yksityinen, mutta kätevä kaikille korkealle maalle. Tule ja koe "oikean" edelläkävijän hirsimökin viehätys. Nauti luonnon kauneuden yksinkertaisesta nautinnosta ja varhaisesta Americana-yhtyeestä. Hengitä syvään, hengitä nyt!

Sleepy Creek on valmistettu kahden aitoa 1800-luvun hirsimökin (Kentucky ja Länsi-Virginia) tukista, jotka on koottu uudelleen ja liitetty toisiinsa, jotta saadaan aikaan ainutlaatuinen ja mukava loma. Tämä mökki on rakennettu kauniista antiikkisista käsinhakattuista poppeleista ja tammipalkeista, ihanista kivimaisista, täydellisellä setrilautasella. Se sijaitsee yli 4 hehtaarin metsäisellä maalla ja kaunis virta kulkee ohjaamon ohi koko pinta-alan.

Sisätiloissa on suuret huoneet, joissa on (2) makuuhuonetta ja (2) kylpyhuonetta. Mestari sijaitsee pääkerroksessa (kuningatar) ja sillä on pieni oma kylpyhuone. Musta pähkinälautalattia, antiikkinen oksainen mäntypaneeli ja saippuakivitakka sekoittuvat uudempiin komponentteihin tämän viihtyisän retriitin perustaksi. Toinen makuuhuone kattaa koko yläkerrassa (yksi parivuode ja kaksi erillistä vuodetta) holvattu katto ja kattotuuletin.

Maalaismainen maalaistalo-tyylinen keittiö on täysin varustettu, siinä on kaikki uudet laitteet, mutta se säilyttää maan viehätyskauden kappaleilla, mukaan lukien aito vuosisadan vaihteen Hoosier-kaappi. Siellä on myös erillinen pesutupa. Toinen kylpyhuone sijaitsee alakerrassa. Mutta parasta on katettu etukuisti. Serene setting in very accessible location. Short drive to West Jefferson, Boone and surrounding attractions. Place is very well equipped and as cozy as it gets (especially with a fire going). Kathe was a great host and made sure that everything was in order and that we were comfortable. Perfect setting for a family stay. We will be back.

Perfect getaway - the cabin is easily accessible but feels like it’s away from everything. Quiet, except for the beautiful creek and occasional car. The cabin is well-equipped with everything you might need and everything you didn’t know you needed. Exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. I have not felt so relaxed as I was while at the cabin.

Perfect Rest

Beautiful landscaped yard with a creek that you can listen to while sitting on the cozy porch. Enjoyed visiting with the chipmunks, birds, hummingbirds and a huge blue heron flew by me on the porch. We felt incredibly relaxed during our visit. Home is cozy, beautifully decorated, clean and everything provided for our stay. Will be back!

Summer at Sleepy Creek

Sleepy Creek exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful week long family vacation. It was very clean and the beautiful weather was perfect for evenings playing games at the table by the creek. On rainy days, we enjoyed the time on the porch. If staying there during warmer months, it did get warm upstairs and we were running a bunch of fans to cool it off. Kathe was wonderful to work with and helpful during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Get Away

Fabulous!! Even with All the rain it was so peaceful. The Hosts were very helpful with any and all questions. Great location to get to Boone, Blowing Rock etc.. Lots to do and see or just relax and enjoy the creek.

Charming Cabin; Fabulous Stay

A family of four + 1 mountain-loving dog had a great time at Sleepy Creek. We spent four nights in the cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin is exquisitely maintained. It is warm and inviting and easy to get to. My family has a tradition of going to the mountains every Thanksgiving and this has been our favorite location by far.

Sleepy Creek cabin was the perfect place for us to unwind and reset. It has the perfect mixture of seclusion while still being close enough to anything you need or want to explore. Anniversary Trip/Sleepy Creek Log Cabin

What a beautiful log cabin and setting! We loved it from the moment we saw it through the trees as we drove in, and we were not disappointed when we walked in the door. We loved the rustic, cozy feeling throughout the house and enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the stream. The house was immaculate, well maintained, and well stocked. Highly recommend!

Anniversary Get Away Weekend

Sleepy Creek cabin was a wonderful 37th anniversary trip get away! Kathe was a wonderful host to work with and the cabin was impeccable stocked with everything a regular home would have. Extremely clean inside and the outside landscaping was beautiful to look at! We would highly recommend this cabin and plan on staying several more times in the future! Special time, special place!

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of places in Virginia and North Carolina and I must say this has been my absolute favorite!! The cabin is rustic and charming just as pictured. The yard and landscaping is beautiful!!! The stream makes it even better! The location is great and is a short drive to West Jefferson. Kathe is a wonderful hostess and very responsive to your needs or questions. We will definitely stay again!
