Find peace and relaxation in this fabulous 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 2000 square foot contemporary, beach front home that has stunning panoramic views from every room. Seaweed was extensively remodeled and added onto in 2007. The beach side of the house has a large deck with a Picnic Table and endless views.

The main floor is designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind, there are no stairs into the house, and it has oversized doors and an accessible bathroom. The beach side of the house is one large great room with bamboo floors. There's a dining table for 6, a sectional sofa that is easily re-arranged, for Ocean Viewing, Fireplace contemplating or for curling up to watch a beach themed movie on the 50 inch TV. The gourmet kitchen has poured cement counter tops, and stainless professional appliances and it's right there in the great room, so the Chef doesn't have to miss anything.

Also on this floor a large laundry room front loading washer & dryer. A king Bedroom that has its own door into the main floor bathroom with shower and a 32 inch TV.

There is also a two car garage with automatic door and for the rainy days or fun in the evening we've included a ping-pong table.. The bathroom & entryway floors are polished cement and heated. Both Bedrooms have carpet.

The luxurious upstairs master suite has a king size bed that you can watch the ocean from, a desk in case you need to accomplish some work while you're in residence, a fireplace and a 2nd floor wind protected deck to relax and watch the sunset. Also upstairs, a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub built for two, a separate slate shower with multiple shower heads, his & hers sinks, and a huge walk in closet. Enjoy the view, a fire or watch TV or movies on the 42 inch Plasma TV. It also has 2 overstuffed chairs that turn into twin beds.

My husband, pups, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was just as described, nice and clean, with the most beautiful view of the ocean. There were all kinds of convenient touches around the house to make you more comfortable.There is a path that leads to the beach, about a quarter mile, but you have to go over some dunes to get there. Totally worth it! The beach is wonderful and full of sand dollars.We can't wait to stay here again soon!

Great view, Comfy home!

This house was perfect for us! Excellent ocean views(although walking to the beach was a hike over some dunes), and lots of room to spread out. Pet friendly was a plus, and the garage was great for ping pong and parking! This was a great vacation home!

One of the best VBROs I ever stayed at.

My husband and I loved this home. It was not only very clean, but well stocked with everything needed for an extended stay. The view was excellent, and neighborhood quiet, and the walk to the beach refreshing. Also, it had a nice little year area for our dog "sniff" around in.

Gorgeous views

The first floor with bedroom/bath met our needs perfectly. The layout is a bit odd with an approximately 5 ft wall around the kitchen. We did have an issue with the couches - they are very low so difficult for us older people to get up. The neighborhood is quiet on a dead end street with wonderful views, both from the living/dining room and front deck. The first floor bathroom sink did not drain. When reported it the 2nd day we were there - got a response after we got home.

Perfect Beach Vacation

We loved our stay at Seaweed! Amazing location right on the beach. The Home is well maintained and clean with a nicely appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved listening to the surf and watching the sunset from the deck. The beach is just a short walk on a well maintained trail. We brought our dog and this home is very pet friendly, with a hose provided to rinse off after playing in the waves. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Seaweed is located right on the edge of the dunes so we took advantage of this location to do beach walks. No need to drive anywhere else!

Haceta Beach Vacation

Great place to stay. Plenty of room for 4-6 people to visit, dine, and relax. It is tucked away on the beach front so it might be easier to visit in daylight first, but once the directions are figured out it is very easy to get back to 101. Great views of the ocean. Access to the beach is a fun exploration of some dunes that open up on to an endless fine grain sand beach where there are lots of shells and rocks to gather or take a long walk. Truly a great place to have family time together.

Large and Roomy

There are many excellent features but I wouid not recommend for more than four adults because the couch is uncomfortable as are the chair beds. Great views, comfortable, close to groceries and restaurants. Operation of tvs was complicated at best and second bedroom tv did not work. Needs blackout shades to see both working tvs in the daytime. Walk to the beach challenging for us two seniors. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Memorable!

This was our 2nd time staying at this property, only this time we brought our baby (1) and our puppy (husky-6months). Our 9 year old loved playing Goldilocks and sleeping each night in different locations - The bedroom downstairs which could fit 3 of him. Extra linens and pillows provided with access to its own bathroom and door to the side of the house. The smaller TV in that room was perfect for him as he was able to watch his YouTube just fine! He slept in the living room on the couch as well. He liked that he could easily move the couches around and apart to create his own design. The upstairs bedroom had two chairs that pulled out into single beds which we ended up taking the mattresses off and laying them on the floor next to our bed, because the baby sister wanted to sleep next to her brother! Very easy to assemble. There was also a bed sheet cover for littles ones which I thought was amazing! Also in the upstairs closet they had extra linens for each bed and ….. baby gates!! They came in handy since the stairs goes right down to the kitchen we were able to keep the bedroom safe from any tumbles down the stairs. The upstairs also has a door to the balcony that the kids loved during sunset and my momma heart adored witnessing. The balcony was also handy for the puppy as the door has a slider window to keep a breeze going. There was also cleaning supplies for the dog in case of any accidents and cleaning supplies for spills on the carpet. Loved our stay! Family tradition

Overall our stay was pretty good, the description of the private trail to the beach was a little misleading as far as how long of a hike it was to get there. But all else was good. I would suggest some curtains for the windows might be nice, the sun gets pretty bright.

Beachfront with dune trail!

Very nice location right on the beach. There is a dune trail that goes from the house directly to the beach. The beach is wonderful for walks. (with or without dogs); If you have a dog, there is grass in the back yard and on the sides of the house. Sunsets were beautiful. Old Downtown Florence is about a 10 minute drive from the house. The house is very comfortable. There were wicker bins containing dog towels and sheets, which was nice. Wifi signal is strong and fast throughout the house. Cell service with Verizon is limited in that area (1 to zero bars); but there appears to be a landline at the house . We would stay there again!

Great Place!

My sisters and I celebrated our mother’s 60th birthday together at seaweed. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and fantastic time. Everything was very clear from the beginning of the reservation all the way till check out. The place was extremely clean and beautiful. I do not have one complaint. Leslie the host was fantastic to deal with. I would rent again!

Location beautiful. Plenty of room. Nice views. A few comments, which I also indicated in the on-site Guest Book: 1. Fridge really smelled like fish when we arrived. We took all the shelves out and washed everything and the smell was still there. It was awful, the entire week we were there. 2. Washing machine “errored” constantly, no matter how small the load was that was being washed. 3. Too many smoke detectors in the kitchen area. My husband is a residential electrician and couldn’t understand why there are 3 in close proximity of each other, all in the kitchen. They would go off if we made toast. 4. Both beds were very uncomfortable. Main floor bed sagged in the middle when sleeping in it The bed upstairs was lumpy and too soft. Backs got worse over the course of the week. 5. Shower upstairs has 2 shower heads that don’t work. The jacuzzi tub was the best feature, other than the beach view. The tub was soothing, nice and deep, good jets, and the heater keeps the water warm. Very nice! We are not “complain-oriented” folks. We have always been easy-going, and have even stayed at another WhaleWatchers property in Florence and had no issues. We just felt, for the cost of the week, it was important to mention these things, as they did hinder us to some degree. My back is still recovering from the effects of the bed, including chiropractic adjustments that are ongoing. Despite the views and the great jacuzzi tub, I don’t think we can ever stay there again, comfortably.

Lovely Beach Home

It’s a lovely beach home with a little walk through the sand dunes to Heceta Beach. Views from the living room and upstairs bedroom are excellent. Kitchen is nice and well-equipped but very small. We loved it that it’s doggie friendly. We brought all our own food, restaurants are a bit away but Florence is an adorable town to visit. Definitely recommend.
