Before I jump into this review, please know my husband and I have worked in hospitality for decades. In all aspects including catering, housekeeping and inn keeping of a retreat center and wedding venue. We completely understand all the pitfalls of the job!
Pro: Juliet was an absolute delight to work with. Every interaction we had with staff after that (Juliet was off) was a disappointment.
Cons: The room was adequate but felt tired. The caulk around the tub is crumbling and the base around the exterior of the tub was discolored, I’m assuming from mopping the floor and not wiping it down. Although the room was listed as ADA and the bathroom is well appointed for such, the bar next to the tub did NOTHING to assist my able body in or out of it. My disabled husband was looking forward to a deep soak and after assessing the situation decided he may get in but there was no way out.
When arriving at “happy hour” we were treated as an inconvenience. We gave the restaurant another chance for dinner on our final night. Although the food was good, it would have tasted better had we been treated as valued guests. Once we put our cash on the bill to pay we were asked if we needed change. When we said yes, it was the last we saw if our waiter, who I’m now assuming expected more than a 50% tip. The bus person brought our change and dessert.
Overall I was dissatisfied with our stay at NoYo Inn. Besides Juliette, the staff was lackluster and inconsistent (housekeeping). I could go on
