I woke up with NO electricity at 3:30 am HOT and the Hotel had no generator so I was able to take a show and had to walk down 5 flights of stairs with my suitcase in the dark. The morning clerk said "act of God" and it was nothing they could do. I felt like more concern should have been expressed and even a discount on a different night stay.,

The carpet and paint seemed new. The staff was unfailingly friendly, literally everyone I came into contact with. Per Doubletree policy, I was texted about my satisfaction. And, for the concern I had about my room, on the same day I complained there was a repairman who arrived at my room and fixed the broken door lock. Housekeeping came during my stay (so many hotels since COVID do not). The room was comfortable though the view is industrial Ft. Worth. I chose the location for its centrality for my business appointments—and certainly not for its nearness to any restaurants or other attractions. For a free-standing hotel in an industrial park I thought it odd they charge for parking. I mean, they OWN their own parking lot. The property is surprisingly large, so it was quite a walk from my room to the restaurant; my room to the workout room; my room to the snack bar; my room to the ice machine—well, my room from anything. Clean, quiet (except for I-35 traffic), close-up parking, and friendly. Pretty much what one would want from a Doubletree Hotel.
