This charming Gulf Shores condo offers convenient walking access to the beach and local dining options. Guests can enjoy scenic views from the balcony, along with shared amenities such as pools and hot tubs, as well as private in-unit washer and dryer and cable television. The property is ideally located near outdoor attractions including Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, Adventure Island, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and Gulf Beach State Park, all within a short drive. Water activities and scenic excursions are available at Fort Morgan and Hummingbird Ziplining.

Guests have access to multiple outdoor pools, hot tubs, and additional amenities, some of which require a small fee. Parking is available for $35, with instructions provided upon reservation. Please note that registration forms must be presented at check-in; contact the Vacasa office if they have not been received. Only registered service animals are permitted, and seasonal access to the Palms building hot tub opens September 16-May 14 and will be closed May 15-September 15.

The perfect vacation

The booking and check in process was the easiest it has ever been. The condo was perfect for us. Loved being able to sit on the balcony and drink coffee while watching the waves roll in. My 4th time in this complex and I will be back again.

Unit needs some work

This unit shows it's age. Some light switches don't work, microwave is rusted out, main glass sliding door will not close. Deck furniture smells. Bed bugs.

A place to stay on the beach

Overall, the unit was what we expected from the photos in the listing. Finishings and decor are dated. We weren't in the room much, so it wasn't a huge deal, but we have stayed in much nicer units in the same building for roughly the same price as this one.

It was nice. Rooms need ceiling fans and although this isn’t a big deal, more kitchen utensils such as spatulas. The balcony door was terrible when trying to close. It needs new outside hardware. Room was clean and this is what I look for above anything else.

Easy beach access, great view

The proximity to the beach and the view are the best things about this place, which bumps up the star rating for me. Nice pools and hot tub, and it's nice to have restrooms poolside. Otherwise, this is probably the most basic condo I've ever stayed in. The furniture, bathrooms, and kitchen could use updating. The queen bed in particular was squeaky enough to wake you up when you roll over in the middle of the night. The lighting in the showers was very, very dark. There were no extra blankets, and only two towels per bathroom. When I go to the beach I go for the beach itself and the room isn't as important to me, but I've stayed in cheaper condos that were not quite as bare-bones. A few little extras like extra blankets and towels, coffee filters, extra ice trays, etc. would make for a more comfortable stay overall. I'd stay again, but probably in the off-season when the price matches what's offered here.

More Than Disappointed

More than disappointed. We arrived late evening after a 10hr drive, ready to unload and start relaxing. The unit was filthy! We started in the kitchen and as we begin wiping down the countertops, hoped the lack of cleaning was only topical. But the more we cleaned, the more we found. Wet dishes in the cabinet, visibly dirty silverware, and hair in the drawers. Even the eye level vent hood looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in a very long time. We paused cleaning to walk through the unit only to find more issues. The furniture was stained (black on yellow) and more than loved. We would not even sit down. The wall in the living room had visible moisture damage. The bedding looked old and dingy and when we pulled back the comforter to look at the sheets, the back side was not any better. The dinning chairs and placemats either had stains or actual food (we did not even get close enough to investigate). The air return in the hallway was black and looked moldy. We could not find a place we felt comfortable sitting down to make a call about the property so we went on the balcony to find that that furniture was even worse. We HAD to leave. We were not only very uncomfortable but it felt unsafe. We satirized all our luggage as we reloaded it from the floor to the cart and left the unit cleaner than we found it. The owners of this unit should be ashamed. We were now homeless and forced to find a hotel on a holiday weekend, nightmare! Oh but we were not done, we transitioned into the joy of hours of phone calls running into the next day trying to get our money back. The following morning, the on-site property manager stated that the unit was “clean” and claimed that we stayed there. We had to prove (with the time stamp of our hotel bill) that we did not. Then the manager accused us of using chewing tobacco and said that they found a spittoon??? Further evidence that the unit was dirty before we got there. We did not have anything resolved until the following night. Way to start a vacation! We know that these type of rentals are not going to be luxurious but I don’t think CLEAN is an unreasonable request. There should also be some type of check/standards by these management companies to make sure properties are suitable for rental. In the end, Casa worked with us to get our money paid to them back. To date, VRBO has still not refunded their costs. The multiple layers of management and booking for these rentals do not favor or protect the consumer.
