Great potential but bed was hard, sink was stained, parking lot was filled with potholes. Nice decorating. Pizza in house was convenient but crust was soggy, too much sauce, skimpy toppings andpoorly advertised. (Sign outside said closed at 7, inside said 9, no menu, just a flyer.) Breakfast buffet not included and no price shared beforehand.

Area was okay. Pizza Delight was inside and seafood pizza very good. Water from faucets and taps was yellowish. No sealed bottles for drinking were made available. I did not feel drinking it was safe and did not use it for brushing teeth.

Horrible Housekeeping

We stayed in cabin 6 (2 bedrooms each with ensuite, 3 beds & kitchen/dining room) On first arrival it seemed ok - a little old and could use some TLC, but we aren’t picky people. We noticed that the light in one bathroom wasn’t working, so when we went to the restaurant I advised the front desk. Over 2hr later someone showed up and said he almost forgot. He looked and said it was likely a blown bulb - he had to bring his wife her sandwich but he’d be back in 15 mins…this was after 9:00 at night. I waited until 10 and then turned off the lights and called it a night. That didn’t even bother me that much. I showered in the other bathroom and could use the toilet in the dark! The sink/vanity was still accessible outside that room. What bothered me most was getting into bed and finding someone else’s sock in the bed! And looking closer I could see hairs in the bed!! This was 10:30 at night so I pulled up the covers and slept on top with a pillow from the other room. I didn’t want anyone in our room while we were gone the next day so I left it - we only stayed 2 nights. No one ever came to fix the light. When I went to checkout there was no one at reception to bring up these issues with. I will not be going back or recommending this place. I can understand a light bulb being out, or things being a little old…but not changing a bed after someone is basic hotel business 101!

We had a one night stop on our way up to L'Anse Aux Meadow. We were a bit early in the season, but the hotel did not see fully staffed. The restaurant closed at 8 pm, so we were quite rushed for dinner. The rooms were quite newly renovated and beds comfortable. There was a fridge in the room which was a nice surprise.
