My travelling companion and I rate this hotel very high and recommend it without hesitation. I would consider this as a boutique hotel yet one that was very reasonably priced. This was the best hotel I stayed at on my three week, 4-country Scandinavian vacation. The rooms were modern, very veal and very spacious. The entire hotel had a very nice personal and “homey” feel to it. Best of all was the staff, the front desk staff in particular. Emmi, Mats and Julia simply could not have been more kind, friendly, gracious or helpful. Nothing was a bother and they all went above and beyond. For example, one day we had an early morning departure for an all-day excursion. I only mentioned this in passing and yet without any prompting at all, Emmi asked if I would perhaps enjoy an early morning coffee and “take-away” breakfast or have a singular early sitting for breakfast. All this so we would not miss out on a breakfast that was provided with our rooms. Not many front desk staff personnel I’ve encountered have been that proactive or anticipate that well and I travel a lot! Well done Hotel Fabian! It is not surprising you are a multiple-time Trip Advisor Award winner. Thanks very much for such a wonderful stay!

I loved this hotel. Great location, very comfortable and friendly staff. The room was smaller than I expected but still roomy enough and had a great view. Breakfast was a buffet in a tiny area but with a good array of choices and plenty of seating.

First time Helsinki visitors, we chose Hotel Fabian and were happy with our selection. Property is about 3-4 easy blocks from the harbor and Esplanade, on a quiet side street across from the Defense Dept. (Everything is quiet in Helsinki :) ) There's a supermarket, Hesberger chain, and a restaurant within one block. Ten minute (or less) walk to Punavuori with plenty of places to eat and chill. Helsinki is super-walkable and easy! The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast good but not exceptional. Hot water plentiful. I could do without the overwhelming incense thing in the bathroom. Staff was kind and not obtrusive. Would recommend!

Great stay as always

I have stayed here a couple of times. Everything is always on point from check in to our style room, also the breakfast is lovely. This hotel is in walking distant to most things to do including boat trips. It is my fave place to stay in Helsinki and will be staying Christmas holiday 2025

Nice place in Helsinki

I enjoyed my stay at the Fabian. The staff helped me order Bolt delivery when it got late which was helpful. The breakfast was not the spread I've seen at some places, but still not bad. Bed was ok, shower was excellent. Room was a tiny bit warm.

Another great stay

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we even had 2 friends stay this visit. It is close to everything you need, it had a lift and I really like the continental breakfast.

This is a great hotel in Helsinki that offers excellent service with excellent rooms. The room was spacious, clean, well lit and included a kitchenette and also an iron and ironing board. A healthy breakfast was included as well. The location is very quiet but within walking distance of several sites. When traveling further, the tram is easily accessible as it is approximately 3 blocks away. In the future I would gladly stay here again.
