We stayed because we went to an event literally across the street. That part was fantastic. The place is more dated than i expected. The air conditioner wasn't in the best condition, the sheets didn't smell fresh, and the air vents were visibly dirty and needed to be cleaned. I enjoyed the layout. The staff was lovely.

Hotel was overbooked. They put us up at the Sheraton for the 1st night which was inconvenient. However, they said they would pay for that night so that was nice. People were friendly and apologetic.

Broken ice maker on floor 7 & 8 was an inconvenience. Room was mostly clean but we noticed there were hairs in the shower and floor and toothpaste on the ceiling. We sat at the restaurant for a while waiting for service and were never approached so we left, they seemed understaffed.

This facility met all of our needs. Very conveniently located in downtown KC. Easy to maneuver around the area either by free streetcar, bus or walking. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
