Another great stay at the Southernmost. Staff is great. Entertainment at pools are enjoyable. This is our 5 th stay there and have found a few minor glitches this time. None of them are serious enough to complain or change my mind about a return. There was no longer a staff member on South Beach monitoring the chairs , towels and umbrella distribution. Non hotel residents are supposed to get their usage. A few times other people used them and there weren't enough. There also needs to 1 have a lock by South pool so non hotel guests can't access . Just a simple scan of hotel wristbands would be adequate.

Our trip was fantastic, the resort is right on the ocean and has a nice beachfront. It's not the largest beach area but was kept nice and had plenty of lounge chairs. Shores pool was to the left of the beach with nice bar and food service. Restaurant was just to the right of the beach with great food choices. The property is pretty large - be sure to view a map before picking your room as you can be right on the beach or in motel style rooms on the street. We stayed in the Dewey house - a bed and breakfast style house which was very nice. I would choose Mer house if we went back as we stayed on first level in Dewey garden view and our room was literally in the kitchen where they prepare breakfast everyday and you could hear clanging dishes at 6am. Also bring ear plugs as the roosters start crowing at 4am. Didn't bother us with the earplugs. The daily breakfast was very nice (paid more for this) with made to order eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, waffles, pancakes, etc. I would highly recommend getting the breakfast included.

We had ants in the room (bathroom and bed). Called management and supposedly they came to the room to take care of it, but the ants were still there the next day. Also no earplugs in the room for the roosters that sing non stop from 4:45am to 6:45am. Overall the pools and beach are not great. And so many fees! In the end our bill was almost double the room price. We will not be back.

The property has beach access. They have multiple pools. We had breakfast looking at the water that was nice. The only negative I have to say is that the property has a lot of roosters and they start making noise very early in the morning and it wakes you up and doesn’t let you go back to sleep. Not all rooms have this problem. Our room was facing the street.
