Rooms were spotless, comfortable, and the Dewey House had a great balcony with a fantastic beach view with sunrise. Service was great. Staff excellent. Food incredible. Spa with beach-side massage magnificent. I hope to return again and again. No reason to go anywhere in Key West but Southernmost Beach Resort.

I was there for business, and honestly, the place itself—the grounds—is a gorgeous Key West gem. The amenities, especially the truly fantastic massage and the amazing bellhop team (seriously, 10/10), were the only reason I didn't completely lose it. Plus, being able to text staff for quick help was great.But the overall vibe was just unhappy. You could feel the frustration everywhere. The root of it? Messy, confusing billing and a feeling of being scammed. Multiple people, myself included, felt off about the charges—some were double-billed. Get ready for a shocking $\text{\$800}$ hold on your credit card at check-in. The way they explain the resort fees and charges is totally unclear, which is a major buzzkill. They really need to clear this up before guests arrive!Beyond the fees, basic service was spotty. My room was barely cleaned—dirty cups and smeared mirrors stayed untouched for days. They missed my VIP benefits, and I had to ask about them the day before checkout just to get them applied. And the food? Seriously disappointing. The servers were sweet, and I felt awful watching them get flak, but the food and drinks were genuinely bad.The staff are wonderful, but it seems like management is more focused on "money grabbing" than letting them offer real hospitality. It’s a shame because I loved the property, but between the hidden costs and the overall chaos, I won't be returning.

First off, the property is gorgeous and the location is perfect. Annette from the front desk has to be celebrated for her customer focus and going above and beyond for our stay. We booked a room that didnt quite fit our expectations (my fault when booking) but Annette was patient and persistent in making it right for us and that exceeded our expectations. We will be rebooking our next stay at the Southermost Resort based on great experience with Annette and staff.

Overall, the rooms and resort are nice and clean and in a great location. However, watch out while booking! There is a daily fee of $65 for “amenities” and more than $50 a day to park your car. And the amenities (aka beaches) are often booked with weddings whereby you’ll be removed or sent to a pool or “private beach” that doesn’t actually access the ocean. The details start to add up!

This is considered a private “beach” though it does not access the water.
