A little bit of paridise

The condo was very clean and had an amazing view!! The resort was beautiful. The main bed was very comfortable, but the hide-a-bed not so much. We absolutely loved our stay!!!

Great place!

This place is everything it's represented to be online, but Ray was an especially awesome host. We had a communication problem (on my part, not his - I'd had trouble changing the number of guests on the VRBO app and hadn't realized I hadn't correctly registered the number of guests when my son and girlfriend decided to join us kind of last minute). Ray was super helpful, didn't hold the error against me, and helped us figure out everything we needed. Highly recommend this condo and owner!

One bedroom condo

We loved the resort and the location. The grounds and pool areas were very well maintained . We have stayed over in Kehei area previously and decide to try this area. The condo was a one bedroom with king bed. The mattress was a bit lumpy but otherwise ok.The kitchen was well equipped. The ice machine on the fridge didn’t produce ice so we had to buy ice. The air conditioner didn’t seem to keep the condo very cool. The unit is on the end by the stairwell which can be noisy at night. We did have issues with the wash machine and contacted the owner who was pleasant to deal with and was attending to the problem promptly, however it had not been fixed by the time we left. I would rate this condo 3.75/5. Location resort and staff 5/5

Quiet and comfortable

We enjoyed the location. The place was clean and looked like the pictures. Getting to and from the pool/ bbq area and beach was an easy walk. The A/C never got very cold when we returned to our room which was the only drawback we experienced.

Ants and roaches

The resort was lovely but we were disappointed with our stay in the unit. There was an infestation of ants and roaches in the kitchen where we had to throw out groceries that became contaminated. The owner was immediately responsive and offered pest treatment which we declined to avoid exposure to chemicals. Instead, since we didn’t feel comfortable using the kitchen, we asked for a 25% discount off the daily rate which was rejected. The owner offered $100 to cover food-related costs, but later wrote that refund would only be available after we submitted our review. At this time of writing, it is unknown whether we will receive that refund.

Wonderful condo right on the beach

Condo is in prime location. We found everything as described. You have everything what you need for a wonderful stay in Paradise. Owner was very responsive. We had one minor topic and it was solved immediately. Reception staff of resort is very helpful. Location is great with a coffee right around the corner, food trucks with great local food just next and the beach right in front of the resort. Just perfect.

Had a week in Lahaina, HI booked for our 52nd anniversary and was on our way to the airport when we learned of the fires and that travel was being restricted to essential. We turned around and came home, and asked vrbo for a refund, but were told that the owner refused. Contacted vrbo for assistance, and they made good on the refund. Owner still upset about them coming to my rescue. VRBO + Owner -

Paradise!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papakea. The unit was as described but nothing could describe the view!! It was amazing. The view of Lanai, the pool, putting greens, shuffle board and the gorgeous ocean!! The morning sun and a nice shady afternoon/evening made the patio so comfortable! All the comforts of home and the convenience of having laundry in our unit made our stay so enjoyable. Our host was so responsive and the staff at Papakea were so friendly! Thank you for giving us a great “home base” for all our adventures. PS-bring your snorkel gear-so much to see in the beach area of the resort and within a few minutes drive.
