I checked into the hotel after a 10+ hour drive in the cold and rain, and was never informed at check-in that the hotel had no hot water, even though staff already knew about the problem. After such a long trip, all I wanted was a hot shower to unwind, and finding out only after getting to my room was extremely disappointing.
I was too exhausted at that point to pack up and find another hotel. When I asked about compensation, they only offered 20%, which felt unfair given they were aware of the issue beforehand and didn’t disclose it.
Before checking out, I tried to speak with the manager, but was told she was “running late” and then suddenly “not coming in.” I called over the next few days and left messages, but never received a call back.
Overall, very poor customer service and lack of communication. I expected much better.
