Loved the location, breakfast and customer service. The room was spacious and overall good though there were a couple of problems with the room as well. First night there, tried to open the wardrobe and the whole door comes off. Thankfully the receptionist got it sorted the next day. A couple of other little fixtures looked like they were on their last leg too, bathroom door hinges for one. It would have been nice to have space in the fridge for water to keep cool etc instead of a full mini bar, I didn't dare move anything in case there were pressure sensors. However the constant restock of cartoned water did make up for this. Air conditioning worked a treat too. Overall, I was very pleased. Absolutely would stay here again.

Location: Ideal. The hotel is situated a short walk from the main train station and an even shorter walk to old town main sites. It is a busy area during the day but very quiet at night. Hotel: Very nice and good for a longer stay. The included breakfast was very nice. Room: We had a nice room overlooking the Main Street, but it was very quiet. Well equipped and clean. Certainly, sufficiently spacious for our 2 night stay. Staff: Were very nice and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

Location: Perfect. Easy walk from the train station and a very short walk to the old town centre. Restaurants, sites and shopping within a couple of blocks. Room: Perfect for a short stay. Clean and comfortable. The inner courtyard is currently having some construction so a little loud during business hours but very quiet at night. Staff: Were very nice and helpful. The staff at breakfast were very efficient and nice. I would stay here again

The property is having renovations done, so it was quite noisy from 7 AM throughout the day until around 4:30 PM. Also the noise from the street, which sounded like partyers, was intermittent till 3 or 4 AM.

Good place in very good location

We selected this joker mainly because of its location - within a walking distance to all main touristic attractions. The building itself seems guitar old - like maybe even 50 yrs old, but renovated and modernized inside. The room was quite comfortable with all necessary equipment. Not quite sound proof so we could hear a lot of noise from the main hall as a group of guests had vivid discussion at about midnight. Also noise from the renovation in the backyard was rather annoying. Breakfast buffet - good variety of foods, good service. The staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

Hotel in the centre of the city near shops and only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the bus station. Room fit for purpose only noticed a few things plug-in vanity mirror in bathroom had a lot rust on its base and a couple of marks in the shower.

Unbeatable location right in the middle of it all, pricy vallet parking, great breakfast. Muris at the customer service was very creative to help us with reservations to Škocjan Caves as we had trouble with our phones. Muris, we appreciate your help. City itself is a gem.

I have stayed at the Slon many times and it's clean, comfortable, well located and has great staff. However it is beginning to look a bit tired and may need a refurb at some point. The elephants are great!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the major sites in Ljubljana. Onsite cafe nice to have a drink and cake with friendly staff. Room was great however I didn’t get the best nights sleep due to my room facing the Main Street and a lot of partying going on.

The hotel is very nice, located in a great area, easy to walk and in the middle of restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and they had a wonderful breakfast Buffett with a lot of options, they opened at 6:30 am, which is perfect if you want to get your day started early. We really enjoyed our stay.
