This place for a Wyndham was more like a motel 6 or a Days Inn than a Wyndham owned hotel by La Quinta. I very pleased that they allowed my dogs that was the greatest love of this hotel. The Staff where kind and helpful. My room had some damage to carpet and bathroom doors which i had to document for my protection which for a guest was extremely unexceptable.

This hotel is a passable alternative, but nothing special. Primarilly, we had issues with the overall cleanliness of our rooms (carpet stank). Front desk staff were competent and check-in was smooth, but don't expect to feel very welcomed after the experience is over. The truck stop, located a about a block away, guarantees you'll be negotiating your way through big rigs in traffic as well as listening to their loud diesel engines a great deal of the time. The charming little town of Luling us about is a few miles from the hotel. Not a bad stay, but nothing memorable.

I was really disappointed with our recent stay, especially considering we’ve always chosen La Quinta over Best Western when visiting family in Luling. We haven’t stayed here in over a year, and the decline was noticeable. The front desk staff member who checked us in did not seem friendly or welcoming, and there was an unpleasant odor in the lobby. When we got to the room, we found several areas of mold in the bathtub. I can’t say whether it was active, but both my husband and I experienced some breathing issues after arriving. I can’t claim the cause, but seeing visible mold definitely didn’t make us feel clean or safe. On a positive note, the morning staff at the front desk was very pleasant, and we did sleep well. However, with our family planning to return in March (at least 10 of us), I honestly cannot recommend staying here as things stand. At this point, I would suggest the Best Western down the road, even if it’s about $10 more per night, because cleanliness and comfort are too important to overlook.
