Very large condo apartment setup. Nicely designed the full kitchens and refrigerator. It's a good base for a family. It's a short walk to the beach shopping and restaurants. I'll use this facility again because it's so nice and I love North Beach

Nice, safe, family-like atmosphere. Great location, close to the beach. Enjoyed free coffee in the lobby. To improve: Teflon pots/pans need to be renewed/changed with new (possibly steel) cookware. Overall, I would return in this hotel and recommend it to friends.

The only thing that was great about this property was that they let us in early. The unit sand sand/debris on floors, the shower ran out it WARM water after one shower trickling on us. They never put a top sheet on the bed, yep, just the comforter that every guest uses against our bottom sheet and body! GROSS! kitchen was equipped from the Goodwill, you could see light through cracks in back door, the walkways had remodel and landscape crap everywhere, it was so bad we only stayed one night and checked out. Forgot to mention, don’t be fooled by photos, unit is in bad shape, lipstick on a pig.

This a clean, well maintained, family friendly option close to Miami Beach. However, the front desk service left much to be desired. Some front desk staff appeared curt during our interactions, while others seemed too busy to be friendly.

Good location, bad wifi and poor customer service

My family stayed at Tradewinds for two weeks. Pros: close to the beach, board walk (less than 10min walk), pool is great for kids. Cons: 1) cleaning: our apartment only received a deep clean once in two weeks (ie b/room, floors - bedding/towels, trash are cleaned every 3 days). After sharing my concerns with front desk, they said you have to specifically request cleaning. We were not told this at check in and were only made aware 5 days into our stay when I asked. 2) Wifi: we experienced significant issues with wifi our entire stay. I approached front desk about this and was told they would have to file a ticket with IT and was issued an alternative connection, which was equally as bad. The wifi issue was never resolved during our two week stay and staff never followed up. This was a significant issue for us as we were using wifi for work. 3) Security: we had a number of items stolen from our room through a bathroom window. The window was open when we checked in and there was no latch to close it. Staff did take the issue seriously but maintenance had to manually close the window. The hotel has a number of coded gates, however they were either broken or left open to the street. 4) Taxi: we asked front desk to call us a taxi to the airport. After checking out, we saw they called a luxury SUV service. The ride to the airport cost us $95US dollars! For comparison, we paid $45US to take a YellowCab from the airport to the hotel.

When I arrived, as was welcomed OK. But then I the codes to get passed the pool area didn’t work and afterwards the key to my room didn’t work neither. I tried texting them, but nobody would answer. so I had to go back to the main office. They were nice, but the place needs renovation.

The property wasn’t bad however I do not appreciate the staff when I was trying to check in. I had gotten off a long flight and was not feeling well and all I wanted to do was check in. It was alittle early but I was okay with paying an extra fee for checking in early. I asked the receptionist and she said NO check in is at 3 so I had to find somewhere to park and wait 2 hours and ended up sleeping in my car! And I finally checked in I had to fight to find parking because there is veryyyyyy limited parking. When I did find a parking I get to my room and the maintenance man is just standing in our room “fixing something”. I was ready to Check out as soon as I checked in.

The apartment was very comfortable and in good condition. The only issue was the parking. The information stated there was parking for a fee but in reality that is not in the hotel. The parking is street parking and if you want to pay parking it was two blocks away.

Nice Location But Needs Some Help

The biggest complaint for me would be that there was a known issue with our door not locking properly. When this issue was brought to the attention of the desk agent on staff she replied “ I don’t know why they gave you that room, that door has been broken for awhile” Then we were told they were booked solid for the night so we couldn’t change rooms! Maintenance came and instructed us that we had to SLAM the door for it to lock. That’s annoying for us and our neighbors. There were also a few things in the room that didn’t work properly, the bathroom needed some cleaning and closet doors didn’t open and close properly.
