The employees were not responsive to any of our needs. There was no heat in the room. The shower temperature was impossible to adjust. No towels, inoperable sliding glass door, dirty, trash pile directly outside our door our entire stay. Employees were short, lacked customer service, and did not follow through. We stay here often and it’s usually a good experience but the cleanliness, facilities, and customer service have all gone down hill.

Grounds and location are good; rooms are in serious need of updating! Had to switch twice: once because the heat didn’t work, another time because the toilet was as broken. All the rooms are in serious need of updating! We had a free breakfast to make up for it, but it was probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever had! Overheated eggs, rock-hard French toast, and nowhere to sit in the dining hall. We probably won’t be returning to this site again, which is a shame, because as an architect, I really appreciate a Julia Morgan historic building. But this place needs a serious renovation. Only other positive: the staff working there are so nice!

Welcoming, knowledgeable front desk staff (thanks, Chris!). Modern, clean room with quiet fridge; plenty of space. Beautiful outdoor pool was temporarily closed, but the grounds invite exploration. Wonderful place to spend a few days. Stone fireplace in historic lodge and in some rooms. We love staying in this State park.
