Pacific Grove Hotel

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable with the area for restaurants and shopping. This property was originally condos. So the rooms are unusual. In our King room there were 2 sitting chairs and table plus a desk area. There wasn’t enough light in this area. There was an extra open space that could be used as another sleeping area. This is where the microwave, coffee maker, fridge and safe were. Also a large rod to hang clothes. There’s a lot of drawer space. Large shower and counter. The room for the toilet had its on door but was a very tiny space. Free continental breakfast was just average. We chose to not partake on the second morning. Great location close to everything you could want. Note: this is in a residential area. We loved the Pacific Grove area. Quaint and slow paced.

First, let me preface this review by saying that we got a very good price on the room for the distance to the shore. Very walkable. Really can't complain at this price for this room. Property has a 70s vibe, which I don't mind at all. Retro! The only problem is that it's also in poor shape. Lots of scrapes, patio doors difficult to slide, lock, etc. I liked the patio but the larger area could have used something. It was empty! Looks bare and kinda sad. But it did provide privacy and light. We had a suite, so it had a full kitchen which was very convenient for us. The included breakfast was mostly carbs which I can't have, but one day there were hb eggs. We loved the gas fireplace, really ups the ambiance! We used it every night we were there! Would stay here again.

When we got there, front desk was closed for and the receptionist was not available for an hour. It was 9pm. There were other customers also waiting to check in. Luckily we found other customers who knew where the receptionist lives, he went there woke him up. No sorry no apologies nothing from the receptionist.

Checkin / checkout was easy. Property is quaint and well maintained. There are mix of covered and uncovered parking. There are EV chargers. Room was clean, and bed was made daily, including cleaning of bathroom, replacing used towels.

We thought it was a lovely property with in the Pacific Grove. The room was like a condo with a fully functioning kitchen and a really large patio area. We would recommend this for a couple, or 2 to 4 friends, sharing two beds if that was the case. It was a safe environment.

Correcto, en el check in tuve que volver dos veces porque la tarjeta de entrada a la habitación no funcionaba. Entonces, nos asignaron otra habitación muy buena y conveniente. El único problema es que la caja de seguridad no andaba, seguramente por falta de batería, al igual que la puerta de la primera habitación.

The room 126 is so spacious, heater works great, gym, great parking, beautiful scenery outside each window, big kitchen area, beautiful fireplace, comfy bed, regular size fridge, stove, dishes, good breakfast... would definitely stay again. Felt like we were in the mountains with an ocean feel.

We have stayed in the past years. It seems every year the up keep is changing. A simple towel bar was never replaced and there was nothing available for shower towel or clothing. Like most Inns near Asilomar the up keep is not up to par for the cost of area

This Best Western looks like former small townhouse community, transformed to the hotel with one room in each of three levels of townhouses. Located in a nice quiet street in easy walking distance to the beautiful Asilomar facility and beach, but not in walking distance to downtown and restaurants. The breakfast is very limited by Best Western standards, which was disappointing.
