The hotel is convenient to the ferry. That’s the positive. This hotel needs some updates. My review is specifically for room 45. It’s quite noisy - the pipes, the adjoining rooms, the heater recycles all night. The mattress is super uncomfortable. The curtains let in the outside hallway light and it’s impossible to get it dark in the room. I essentially didn’t sleep due to these factors.

There was leftover food left in our refrigerator, the floor of our cottage was sloped, and the heat vent only worked in the bathroom (this highlighted the sloped floor as we had to prop the bathroom door open with a garbage can to keep the door from closing and get heat into the bedroom). When we arrived the window was open and no heat was on and at 45° out and the heating situation it took quite awhile for us to warm up. The staff was friendly and the views were spectacular. It was cool to even see local deer walk in front of the cottage in the morning.

We really enjoyed out stay here for 2 nights. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. Loved the balcony that overlooked the courtyard, and you could watch the ferries come and go from port. It was quiet and relaxing. We only grabbed a donut and coffee to go but it looked like there was plenty of options for breakfast. If you wanted to eat at a restaurant then you have to drive a just a few miles into town. That was not a problem and traffic isn't bad. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
This beautiful buck was in the parking lot one morning.

Beautiful view of the water. Nice big room with comfy king bed, fridge and spa tub. Had to get the king suite for a pet. Breakfast average. Walkable/easy drive to the ferry. Front desk staff are fantastic! Helped make the room change on the phone, even though I booked through Expedia, and when there the front desk person came to the room to help with the fireplace, and the heat.
