Review of Stay – North Beach Resort & Villas
We reserved and paid in full for accommodations in the Jazmine Tower, but upon arrival we were placed in the Indigo Tower instead. When we raised the issue, the response at the front desk was dismissive and unhelpful, essentially leaving us with no resolution. Having prepaid for a specific accommodation, we expected to receive what we reserved, and were disappointed that this was not honored.
The condition and cleanliness of the apartment were also concerning. Towels provided had visible black hair on them, the floors were dirty, and the carpet appeared old and in need of a deep cleaning. We ended up cleaning much of the apartment ourselves in order to feel comfortable during the stay. While the apartment itself was functional, both it and the building overall show noticeable signs of age and could benefit from more attentive upkeep.
Service and staff engagement were inconsistent. Communication prior to arrival and during the stay was overwhelming, with repeated calls and text messages pressuring us to attend a timeshare presentation, which detracted from the experience. On site, staff interactions generally felt transactional, with little effort toward hospitality.
The property does have strengths worth noting. The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby attractions, and the number of pools available is a positive feature. However, enforcement of poolside rules and guest etiquette was lacking....
