I’ve stayed an Opal Collection hotel in Clearwater and loved it. But honestly this one probably shouldn’t be a part of their chain. It’s a very dated property in a beautiful location. Avoid the indoor restaurant and bar especially for dinner as the service was awful. I think the price is way too high for the hotel. If it wasn’t on the beach you’d be happier at a newer Holiday Inn.

We come often and enjoy that its’s right on the beach, the staff is generally courteous, and it’s only a short drive to 5th ave. But the building is showing signs of aging, and the 1BR suite’s sofa and chairs are old and grimy. This place deserves a facelift.
