I mean... it could be worse. Not bad.

It is downtown, in the middle of everything. Parking is limited in the rear of the hotel- I really didn't care for that. You have to place a parking placard in the vehicle. The hotel is "older" and still has "older" furnishings. I got hooked up with a balcony, but there really wasn't much of a view. No pool (not that I was trying to swim) and breakfast didn't start until 7am. I had to leave the hotel at 6am. Plus they didn't have coffee in the lobby. If the hotel is going to be named "Chateau" of anything, I expect already made coffee in the lobby. The room was ok. It wasn't necessarily dirty and smelled of dollar store disinfectant. I could tell it was cleaned- no doubt- but I wanted my room to smell of sweet magnolias or something. Front desk workers were great- no problems. Wifi was fast enough to enjoy my Netflix shows at night. The stay and overall experience wasn't bad. I was just expecting a little more than what I had gotten given the price I paid and compared to the other hotels in the area.

The only reason for not 5 stars on everything is the room only had one desk chair. There was no place to sit except the bed. Overall, the value for the room was 5 stars. The breakfast was pretty good in my opinion: grits, scrambled eggs and sausage. Staff was cordial and helpful.

It has a nice courtyard at back of facility. I would suggest maybe some more lighting & gas fire pits for the cool spring evenings. Also breakfast is great!

I really enjoyed the quietness and the breakfast was great every morning. The hotel was very close to the River walk and the shopping. My wife and I had an excellent time after all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. The lights along the River were just beautiful.

The town is cute, and it was nice to walk to shops and restaurants, and the room itself was okay, but the hotel needs attention. The hallway floors are very uneven; you can feel dips under the carpet. Customer Service was awful - multiple employees standing around when customers are waiting to check in, and same with breakfast service. We had to call for maintenance right away - bathroom sink wouldn’t drain (this should have been reported by housekeeping and fixed before we got there!).

I have stayed at this hotel several times and never had an experience like this. The shower was filthy with shoe prints and dirt in it. I’m assuming that housekeeping was attempting to clean it and walked in it with their shoes on and there were shoe print all in the shower.

Very disappointed

We were in town for a family funeral in the area. Anytime we visit family in that area We always stay at this hotel. The last two visits we have had to go at night and request towels washcloths in order to take a shower. When we arrive back at the hotel yesterday afternoon housekeeping was just outside our door. I advised the housekeeper that we had had to go down to the front desk prior on the night before to request towels and washcloths. Her only response was good so I then informed her that we had no toilet tissue in the room. She said how many rolls do you want? I quickly replied, I only need one. We have always loved this location the location it’s walkable to downtown Natchitoches, but I will never stay there again like I said the last two times that we have been there we have had this happen. I do want to say the young girl at the check-in desk was precious. She was so nice. She was so kind. I felt bad for her to have to run around and find the towels and washcloths, but she did that for us so she was very nice. the heating system oh my goodness you cannot sleep at night because it is so horribly loud. had I never stayed here before I might just feel like this was the norm, but I’ve stayed in this hotel multiple times with my husband when our two older grandchildren were very young. We would bring them there on family trips. Stayed there many many times but never again.

I think this hotel is perfectly located for the full enjoyment that Natchitoches has to offer. The people in this town are very friendly and hospitable! I will return at a later date..
