Not my Hilton

I am normally a Hilton fan. Its the first place I think to stay. But in this location, I wasnt completely happy. Our stay was for one night. Our check-in was great. The drawbacks was the breakfast nearly $20. I usually dont pay for breakfast at a Hilton. My room was decent, needs updating due to continued use. The shower stall was a very bad design, to reach to turn it on, I was sprayed in the head. It really should be moving doors. I felt things biting me and the cot we received was not comfortable. Not the worse, but definitely not the best Hilton I've been to.

The property is a little tired and in need of a refresh but mainlyhas everything needed. It would have been nice to have bottled water available in the rooms and a blow dryier in the bathroom. The main issue we had was that some children pulled the fire alarm twice during the night and we had to evaucate twice. It doesn't seem as if any action was taken by the hotel staff as it happened twice. Many guests were angry and upset.

Best hotel in Shelton

Excellent location, just off Rt 8, near food and gas options. Clean, quiet, plenty of parking. Great front desk staff.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Cleaning crew were great. The lack of sidewalks around the property was an inconvenience and not walkable as I did not have a car. My bathroom smelled like an old smoker lived there. It was bad. It’s not the staffs fault so I didn’t bother to ask to change rooms, but yuck.
