I found a bedbug in the morning- took photos. Reported it and asked for follow up as to whether there were more upon inspection. I had to call 3 times and email twice to get a response. I do believe this was unusual.

We chose this hotel because it is close to the ferry that we took in the morning to Block Island. When we arrived there was noone at the reception desk and a sign that said "back in 5 minutes." After about 10 minutes she returned, smiling and apologetic, saying she had been helping a guest with the air conditioning in his room. We forgave her ;-) We went out to a nice indian dinner, came back and went to bed. We could not figure out to increase the temperature in our room (the AC was set to 69, and the unit sent a cold draft across the bed) so we turned off the AC and slept soundly. Next morning, we had a perfectly acceptable and not terribly expensive breakfast in the hotel, checked out, left the car in the hotel lot and walked to the ferry, returning at about 6 pm to pick up the car and head home. It all worked exactly as we hoped it would. We were a bit surprised to hear on check-in that we would be charged a $100 security deposit. We were assured that the money would be refunded to our credit card after we left, assuming there was no damage to the room. This does not usually happen to us, and we wondered whether a lot of people who stay her actually damage the rooms....

Convenient location for what i was doing. The parking lot is small but we found two spots after midnight. The Dove products in the bathroom were a nice surprise. Beds were okay. Nice sized fridge and a microwave.
