Only good thing was location. Hotel is beat down, needs remodeling in elevator, rooms and hallways. None of plumbing worked- sinks and tub did not drain and toilet was struggling with clearing flush. No water or any amenities.

I loved the central location of the hotel. The hotel has issues with interior and furniture. Some of the walls and carpets are noticably fading and coming apart. The sink leaked water from the handles and the toilet would make wierd noises after being flushed. The shower also had issues and no inside shower curtain to prevent water splashing and just the cloth outer curtain.

Good location, but walk further for a better room

The entrance into the lobby was definitely not indicative of the room. I could’ve picked up on that as the individual in front of me was unhappy with his current room and was upgraded. Anyways, we got in late and were ready for bed Friday. Got upstairs and noticed the room was unnecessarily warm. We tried to adjust it and couldn’t. Next day we spent most of the day throughout the city. When I brought my youngest back for his nap at 1PM I turned on the TV to watch some football once he was asleep. Half the screen wasn’t functional. We were only in for one full day, so complaint to staff to fix it wasn’t worth the hassle, or moving rooms.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t serve breakfast. The bed was a little hard but other than that it was a good place to stay. Close to Time Square and Most theaters. I would recommend it and would stay again.

The customer service/staff - especially the manager - were stunningly unhelpful. Two times during our stay we needed to store our luggage. On both occasions there were at least four staff proximate to the luggage storage area who were literally doing nothing. Meanwhile there was one person checking luggage and more than ten people - both times - trying to drop off or retrieve luggage. On both occasions I asked the other staff if they could assist since we had tight turns during our visit and on both occasions they refused. I then spoke to the manager who confirmed it was not their job to help - nor his! Everyone in line was frustrated and expressing concern about being late and the hotel staff could not have been more indifferent. This was among the worst stays I've had in 30 years of travel.

Great location - within walking distance of everything that we wanted to do in NYC. We were able to walk around, go to shows and restaurants and come back and change and drop things off very easily. We had some flight delays, so we got into this hotel after 2am and they were very accommodating to our late arrival. Front desk staff and bellhop were very friendly. We stayed on the 40th floor and had a great view. We had the "ball drop" view, which doesn't QUITE overlook Times Square, but still provides a great view out our windows. We liked being able to open them a bit to hear all of the activity below and to let some of the cool autumn air in the room. I would say that it is still pretty loud in the room throughout the night with sirens, horns honking, garbage trucks and other noises from the City That Never Sleeps. Even on a high floor. You might want to bring some earplugs to get a good night's sleep...but you've got to expect that if you're looking to stay in Midtown Manhattan. If you can't handle the noise, you might prefer to stay Uptown or in one of the outer boroughs...but for that true NYC "wow" stay, there's nothing like staying near Broadway/Times Square.

This property was an older building and without some modern ammenities such as breakfast, dining room, and bar. However, it is in the heart of Times Square and the staff immediately replied to our requests such as a coffee maker and coffee service for our room.

Hotel really needs to be updated. You can’t tell if things are dirty or just really old. Had to call maintenance 3x bc sink and bathtub backed up. Had to call security one night at 3:30 am bc neighbors singing karaoke at the top of their lungs. Great location but I wouldn’t recommend or stay again.
