Molempien parhaat puolet! Rauhallisella paikalla kauniiden puiden keskuudessa, joissa on vähän naapureita - täydellinen lukemiseen ja vierailuun sen suurella, tuulen edessä, kuistilla. Ja se on vain 2 taloa vedestä pitkin luonnonkaunis East Chop Drive. Ota nähtävyyksiä kävelemällä, juoksemalla tai pyöräillen kallioita pitkin Majakkaan. Tai kävele alas laiturirannalle (vain 5 minuutin päässä), joka on täydellinen uinti, turvallinen lapsille ja jolla on laituri tutkimaan ja katsomaan, miten veneet tulevat ja menevät ulos satamasta. Valtava plus on, että se on lyhyt kävelymatka kaupunkiin! Viidentoista minuutin kävelymatka vie sinut satamaan, sitten vilkkaisiin Oak Bluffs -kauppoihin ja ravintoloihin, upea lauttayhteys Woods Holeen, Falmouthiin, Hyannisiin ja muihin.
1. kerroksessa on avoin kerros oleskelu-, ruokailu- ja keittiötiloille; ylimääräinen keittiökeittiö, perhehuone (voi olla vaihtoehtoinen makuuhuone, jossa on kaksinkertainen koko futon-sohvaa, lipasto ja vaatekaappi), pesula ja täysi kylpyamme.
2. kerroksessa on 3 makuuhuonetta (1 w / king, 1 w / double & twin, 1 w / 2 kaksoset) ja kylpyhuone. Tässä kerroksessa on kannettava ilmastointilaite.
On suljettu ulkosuihku.
Suuressa esiportaassa on 2 keinutuolia, useita lepotuoleja, 2 pyöreää pöytää ja lisäkaiteet portaiden estämiseksi. Takakuistilla on riippumatto. Puuhiili grilli ulos.
Sisältää Wi-Fi, iso DVD-soitin (käyttää TV-näyttöä). Keittiö on täysin varusteltu! Mikroaaltouuni, sähkökahvinkeitin ja Chemex, hummerikannu sekä täydellinen valikoima keittotarvikkeita.
Liinavaatteet ja pyyhkeet ovat saatavilla talossa. Vinyylilevy, jossa on klassinen jazz- ja klassinen musiikki, tai tuo omasi! Perhehuoneessa on myös valikoima pelejä. Ulkopeleihin kuuluvat bocce, tikkaiden heittäminen ja sulkapallo. Rantatuoleja ja sateenvarjo ovat saatavilla.
*** Yksi lemmikkikoira on sallittua, mutta kissat eivät ole perheen allergioiden vuoksi. Koiralaatikko on saatavana. Suuri etu kuistilla on kaide lisättävä niin, että se sisältää koiran (tai lapset!).

Great retreat in the pines

This was our second stay at this home. It is located in an ideal, quiet spot, walking distance to Oak Bluffs and Jetty Beach, and it's a perfect starting point for long bike rides. The home is perfectly rustic and comfortable, with a welcoming front porch that's well-suited for cozy coffee or just sitting with friends and family. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and other necessities, and there are plenty of beach chairs to bring to the shore. We love that it's dog-friendly; our pooch enjoys watching the birds and turkeys and anything else that comes by. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spotless (with functioning A/C). This is an older home with plenty of old-world charm and family history, a perfect place to make family memories of your own.

Charming, and the perfect location!

This was our second stay at this charming family home. The location is perfect! There’s walking access to the beach for a morning swim, and then it’s a perfect “home-base” for days of exploring the island. The outdoor shower is great for an end-of-day rinse, and the secluded porch is delightful for relaxing with family and friends. The property description is accurate, and the host is responsive and kind. Hope to return!

A Gem in the Pines

The home is conveniently located for walks to town and Jetty Beach. It’s in a shady spot, which helped keep humidity at bay. The house is not new, but it is full of history, with family photos and heirlooms. The front porch is amazing and cozy. Beds are comfy, and the home is clean and tidy. We loved the puzzles and games, too. Overall, this was one of our best trips to MV, and a lot had to do with the home. Anne is a wonderful host, and always quick to reply to questions.we will be back.

Another great week

Once again, great memories made with family in a wonderful cottage in the woods, but close to everything! Walk to beach 5 min. Walk to town in 20. It’s def our 2nd home now. Great neighbors to the left (hunter is their 2 year old pup and loved kissing my toddler. Just a wonderful week altogether. Thank you for sharing your gem with us, Anne. See you next year!

We had a lovely experience at Anne’s house in East Chop. The location was incredible - we loved be able to take scenic walks along the water in the morning and be walking distance from the beach and town. The house was clean and well stocked. Anne immediately picked up when we called because we accidentally locked ourselves out and had a quick solution for us. Thanks for a great week!

Another wonderful stay!

We love this house and location - so comfortable and convenient to the beach, beautiful East Chop road, and plenty of restaurants and fun in Oak Bluffs. Morning coffees on the porch and in the reading nook. We rode bikes to both Vineyard Haven and Edgartown on the great bike paths. Love staying here.

The loveliest cottage just steps from the beach!

I love this cottage, and I think I mentioned that to Anne numerous times during my stay :) This East Chop cottage is so perfect. There are so many beautiful little touches everywhere in the cottage which gave you a nice cozy feeling to be in such a well loved family place. It was super clean when we arrived and as the days went, we found that it had every single thing you would need for a lovely week on MV. Beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards for the nearby beach which is literally in walking distance. I walked to the beach most mornings with the our 15 month old while the rest of the family slept in. It was glorious. Quiet, peaceful and just beautiful. At night, you feel like you’re camping. There are so many trees around the property and it gets pretty dark allowing you you to see the fireflies so clearly. We saw a deer walk right in the path in front of the house! The roads aren’t paved so make sure you have a good enough vehicle (if bringing a car) to navigate the dirt path from the main road to the cottage which is just a very short distance. There are two spaces for cars in front of the house or on the left side of the house. We were able to borrow the sturdy stroller there which was great bc our car was already jam packed. There was also a high chair and some baby toys for the beach for our toddler to use. The kitchen was stocked with tons of dishware, cookware , utensils, and ingredients like herbs and spices. Every single thing you need will be easy to find and if it isn’t, Anne is super responsive. All appliances worked great, new stove and dishwasher were spotless and reliable, as was washer and dryer. Every bedroom has room for clothing, lots of closet space, ACs that work well to cool the room down, and lots of sunlight during the day. One important factor for us with a toddler, the floor boards don’t creak! The landing upstairs nor the wooden steps creaked and that was great so we didn’t wake the baby at night with the kids going up and down the steps. This is the closest we have ever stayed to downtown OB, I would say it’s about a 15-20 min walk into town. So very close but also far enough that you can be away from all the business of that area. Great property, great surroundings, incredibly responsive owner and an all around amazing time was had by all on the vineyard during our early summer stay this year!

Charming house rental

We found the house to be both charming and comfortable - with lots of "Vineyard" feel. The location is great. Set in the woods it is a short walk to the beach and a slightly longer walk to Oak Bluffs center. We appreciated the comforts (heat, ac, wifi, lots of towels, linens, etc), plus the extremely well-equipped kitchen, and thoroughly enjoyed the funky collectibles scattered throughout the house. The owner was easy to contact and very responsive to questions. We highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful time with a gracious host

This modest, spacious house was rustic and homey and beautifully positioned near a beach and great walking and biking paths. Host was gracious and generous throughout, especially when our plans had to change due to ferry cancellations during a hurricane. There was ample parking for two vehicles. Would definitely stay there again!

Ideal East Chop Private Getaway

Great location with walking access to Oak Bluffs, beach, and beautiful coastal walks. House is old school charming, a classic vineyard summer home. Dinners and games on the porch, outdoor shower, hammock in the back. Clean and comfortable. Air conditioners made for a good night sleep. Great with teenagers who were able to walk/bike to town.
