People sitting around smoking at every entrance, the lobby seemed to be open to the public with questionable people hanging out everywhere. Our first room’s bathroom was filled with mold, tv didn’t work and door barely shut. The staff did accommodate us by “upgrading” us to a room that looked more like the pictures we saw when we booked but the bathroom still had mold (just less) and the door still barely shut. The hot tubs were filthy, not maintained and we couldn’t enjoy hanging out on the property due to the smokers/public just trashing the place.

I love the pool area with the live music. Low rates. The rooms need an upgrade. Balconies on ocean front would be great. . They were out of creamers one morning and coffee the next. They closed the pool area one night for a private party. The AC doesn’t cut it.

The convenience was great being on the boardwalk and close to everything. The hotel is very outdated and really needs to have an upgrade. When we got there no hot water so we could not get towels. The second night we were there no cable. It’s a non-smoking building, but you could smell marijuana Everywhere. The parking is horrific, especially if you are handicap all the money that this hotel makes there’s no reason why it cannot be updated. There’s no comforters on the bed. You get a sheet in an old polyester blanket. You have a lot of bad reviews, but I don’t see any response back from the hotel. The pool wasn’t cleaned the whole week I was there. I don’t think I’ll be staying there again.

The pics on site did not reflect conditions. Was older, wall paper peeling, shower door off hinge, old carpet & smells. The location was great at beach but I did not expect an old run down hotel. The bathroom was so small you couldn't sit straight to use toilet. Would not recommend

Had to park 3 blocks down and out of site of the hotel. Park at own risk situation accross 2 major roads. Expedia didn't book my name with the hotel correctly. They used my first name twice for the booking and the receptionist couldn't find my name in the booking. The halways were so uneven that it felt like i was walking on thin sheets of bowed plywood. The hallways reaked of pot smoke. My room was not serviced while I was out for the day. At 5:30 PM someone finally came around to ask me if I needed towels. the width between the toilet and the bath tub was tight. I am 6 ft tall so my knees were up against the tub while using the kamode. Had to sit on an angle on the toilet becuase I couldn't fit in there.

Although my stay was horrible as the rooms were really small, things were left in the hotel room from previous guest who left things in the fridge as well as pills found in the room (still unsure of what kind of pills those were but it was creepy). Staff member Tia was so nice as it was my birthday and she did what she could to make us feel comfortable the whole trip.

Dirty, disappointing, and disrespectful guests

I hate leaving bad reviews, and I never do, but I had to write a review for this place. I will review this as honest as I can. To start, I did think that some of the staff members that I spoke with were very kind and helpful, but some of them didn't seem to care at all. I was first thrown off by the chance of our room not being ready at 4, but I took this with a grain of salt. When we got in our room around 4:15, the first thing we noticed was our bed looked like it was broken as it was sunken in in the middle. My wife and son began to find clumps of hair all over the bed, tangled in the blankets, and all over the bathroom. What did it in for us in our room was the refrigerator had leftover cups with drinks still in them with lip marks. We spoke to the front desk, and this was our first kind encounter as the gentleman was respectful and helpful and moved us to another room. The new room seemed fine with the exception of a crack above the door (door looked unlevel) that was letting a lot of light in, as well as finding someone's sandals under our bed. What did it in for us was the disrespectful guests on our floor who were constantly smoking weed and cigarettes, arguing, running through the halls at night, and leaving piles of dirty sheets and towels that smelled of human faeces and vomit. We ended up leaving 2 days early. Parking is also an issue here, and we had to park 2 blocks away, but this is common in OC.
