We recently stayed at the Magnolia Hotel for two nights while attending a funeral.
The first night was excellent. The hotel itself was lovely, and the waiter who assisted us (unfortunately I don’t recall his name) was outstanding—very helpful, attentive, and provided great recommendations.
The second night, however, was extremely disappointing. Guests staying on the same side of us were very loud, and the noise continued to escalate throughout the night. It appeared to be a wedding party preparing for an event the next day. I felt it was the hotel’s responsibility to avoid booking guests near an area that could potentially be so noisy, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. The noise persisted all night and continued into the morning, which made it very difficult to rest.
When checking out, I spoke with a front desk staff member to report the issue. She seemed rushed and told me that Jack, the manager, would call me after verifying my contact information. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call, which left me feeling ignored and highly disappointed.
Overall, while the first night was wonderful and the staff on duty then were excellent, the experience on the second night and the lack of follow-up from management significantly impacted my stay.
