There was confusion on entering the property grounds early to park our vehicle and go out to use the beach. We specifically asked in advance about arriving at 11am. Guard at property said the info we were given was incorrect and until the actual unit was ready we could not enter since there were no public bathrooms. Upon calling the mngmt they said well when you said early we prob thought you meant like 2 or 3 pm & that maybe the rules had changed because it was spring break. This was a horrible start to a vacation and we had actually asked specifically about 11 am. it was a lie from the guard because this community has an indoor pool with full bathrooms and showers that we completely could have accessed if needed, considering that we got up super early & drove from Atlanta with the specific request approved to be told upon arrival by mngmt oh well, you just have to go find a public beach and then you can move once your unit is ready wasn’t acceptable. We ended up lucky that the unit was clean and they called us and told us we could go back & ended up getting in, but if it had not been ready, we drove all that way super early for no reason at all so please know you cannot access that property until your actual unit has been cleaned. I will say the management was very quick to go over & talk to the guard and check on the unit but again if it hadn’t been ready we would have been screwed….which is ridiculous, I don’t need bathrooms for the beach & you pay to park there!
