Property was about 2 miles down a dirt road, but directions and signage were good and the road was in decent shape. We stayed in the Annex and were the only guests there for our two days. Breakfast was good. Owners were friendly. WiFi at the Annex was intermittent, but owners were going to work on that.

Such a beautiful bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Pagosa Springs; just the right amount of distance out of town for peace and quiet, but close enough for groceries and other amenities. Carolyn and Evelyn were both so kind and inviting, and breakfast every morning was phenomenal. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area, we hope to be back soon!

Our stay at ElkTrace Bed and Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Evelin was incredibly kind and made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that made our stay even more special. The property itself is stunning—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. One of the most thoughtful touches was when they checked on us after we left during a snowstorm to make sure we made it home safely. That level of care and hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. We highly recommend ElkTrace to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and peaceful getaway.

Such an amazing place to stay while in the Pagosa area. Dog and Horse friendly. So much property to walk around and take in incredible sites. Super cute cabins and a host/team that offers group breakfast to get to know you! This place ia a true GEM!

Wonderful Stay Close to Wolf Creek Ski Resort

We had a delightful stay at Elktrace Lodge for two nights. Our cozy cottage was perfect for my husband and me plus our two dogs, plus the location was great for skiing at Wolf Creek. Tom and Evelyn, the hosts, went above and beyond to make our stay special. They are warm and inviting, and their attention to detail made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious Christmas meal they hosted for all the guests. Sharing a festive evening with them and the other guests was a heartwarming experience that added a unique and memorable touch to our holiday. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Reserved the Cabin, once there was not ready as the people prior to us had been there with dogs and pigs. Had been in contact the say before and day of arrival and nothing was said about the cabin not being available. We were moved to the annex and allowed a ROOM. The Wifi nor the TV worked the entire stay. The dishwasher was not working so no cooking, as I was not hand washing dishes while on vacation. The whole place needed a deep cleaning. Alot of dust as it is on a dirt road. The bed was comfotable,and the scenery was beautiful. The breakfast considered of scrambled eggs and store bought tortillas every morning,from the reviews expected more. Carolynand Andy were very nice. Evelyn, I felt was not very considerate to the fact of 1, not getting the cabin I had reserved for my husband and I. 2, no Wifi, 3, no television our entire stay. When I informed Evelyn that we had alrwady been billed in full by the time we got there, she said good! I think over $600 for a three night stay was way too much fir what ee
