Pros: Great location. Within walking distance to grocery shopping and restaurants. Lake trail and beach are also walkable. Heated pool is a nice touch for a cool January stay. The one bedroom suite we stayed is nicely decorated with a nice kitchenette for simple cooking. Bed is comfortable.
Cons: Checkin was a bit confusing because this is a condo complex with different companies managing the rooms. We did not even see a sign that says “The Tropicals” outside the building and we didn’t receive any pre-checkin instructions.
POOR soundproofing. You can easily hear people cough and talk nextdoor. As someone who never had trouble sleeping, I was awakened by loud and passionate noise at 1:42 am followed by long phone conversations, two nights in a row. When the loud lovers checked out, the room nextdoor was occupied by a group of girls who enjoyed late night chatting and giggling. I could hear every word! So if you are a light sleeper which I am NOT, you better think twice before booking here or pray you will be lucky with a quiet neighbor like me.
