The staff were absolutely excellent; however, we believe this hotel has a mold issue. After the first night, we had to switch rooms due to the most horrid smell i've ever experienced in a hotel room, and we both woke up feeling very sick. I was ill for the next four days with nausea, loss of appetite, a feverish feeling, and extreme fatigue. My sister experienced severe fatigue, a sore throat, and a stuffy nose. (All of our symptoms were consistent with mold exposure.)
Our second room initially smelled fine, but after a few days a mild odor developed in the bathroom as well. A staff member mentioned that someone had flooded a bathroom on our floor about a month earlier, which could explain the strong mildew or mold smell in our original room. However, when we spoke with the manager, she denied the presence of mold and offered only a 10% discount for the first night of our eight-night stay.
While other aspects of the hotel were good, our trip was largely ruined by how sick we became and the lingering exhaustion for the remainder of our stay. I recommend exercising caution when considering this hotel as mold exposure is extremely serious.
