Unkempt

Hotel in desperate need of attention. Shower looked moldy in grout lines around tub. Comforters had old yellow stains. Carpet pulling up at door and whole floor seemed to move around tv cabinet.

One night stay; Saturday. Close to Casino. Friendly staff. Shuttle to and from casino anytime. Hallway a little gloomy. Sheets are clean and bed is comfortable. Rooms smell fresh, but not the hallway. Needs bathroom upgrade. Chipped paint, air vent loud in bathroom. Super quiet, next to highway. Had fridge and ac. Slept like a happy baby!

My initial room was filthy. The bathtub was dirty, it had bugs in the bathroom and a bug in the bed. They did change rooms for me. It felt cleaner. However, I didn’t feel comfortable because it looks like they haven’t updated these rooms in over 20 years when I stayed there before. Consequently, the carpet felt really dirty, and I didn’t feel comfortable in the bathroom. The outside of the property is great if you have a dog with you. Lots of grass and hills to walk on. And the lobby looked beautiful. But the rooms are horrible and the hallways are horrible. Even the doors going to the outside weren’t locked and we’re very old.

Warm and dry, lacking cleanliness

The toilet ran all night, couldn’t get it stop. Cigarette ashes on the bathroom floor and in the “new trash bag”. There was a dirty tank top on the floor next to newly made bed. Bits of food in the microwave. The restaurant was closed which was disappointing as well but the room was warm and the bed soft. Got there about 8 PM and left before 0800. Red Lions are not what they use to be.

This property felt deserted of guest and activity. Our room wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Especially the bathroom wall edges and floors cold be swept much better. I killed a couple but left one on the wall for staff see. Not sure if it was bedbugs or not but it was most uncomfortable.

False Advertising

Totally disappointed in this stay. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable, it sagged in the middle. The restaurant and bar that was on the site was no longer in service. The guy who checked us in seemed very annoyed that we were staying there. Did not feel very welcome. Got very short and aggressive answers from questions asked. When asked to get the number for corporate. Nobody had the answer. Was also told that we could leave a message for the manager to call back, still waiting on the call back.

It was on the internet as having breakfast and a pool/spa and there was nothing. I had my grandson with me and we booked it specifically for the hot tub or pool. It was an outdoor hot tub and was covered. It could still run in March! I was originally staying on the way back but cancelled it. It needs clearly advertised that there is no services like that between a certain time frame
